We were in Disneyworld yesterday about to get on the Buzz Lightyears ride when out of curiosity i asked a CM named Lee what had happened to the Timekeeper and wopuld it ever reopen his response was this... "No its never opening again there going to take it off the maps and I dont know if i should even be telling you this but... Theyve already decided what there going to put there" I asked him what would it be and he said " Since Disneys California adventure had so much success with their new monsters Inc ride thats what is going to be placed in the old Timekeeper building, so if you didnt get to ride it you never will cause its officially gone..." I dont know if this thread was done i just wanted to make sure everyone knew...

The Monster's INc attraction won't be a ride.. Think Turtle Talk With Crush only with the Monsters Inc characters.

Ummmm... for the record, did this idea of "Turtle Talk only with Monsters Inc. characters" ever get confirmed anywhere? Or is that just a rumor based on the idea that it was going to be featuring "new technology"?

I remember reading about its using "new technology," and then someone speculated it might be something like Turtle Talk, and ever since I've seen people saying it's going to be like Turtle Talk. I missed any confirmation of that... are we sure that's how it's going to be? Or might "new technology" mean something else entirely (such as, for instance, costumed characters with moving mouths as was discussed in another thread)?

I just still don't see how a Monster's Inc ride fits into Tomorrowland. I really don't.

Exactly how random is it to be in Tomorrowland and all of a sudden see a Monsters Inc. ride... Ah the shenanigans....

Rubbish rubbish rubbish!  :brick: What are these idiots from pixar doing to walt disneys tomorowland. First they replace AE which was a class ride that fitted into tomorowlands theme like a peach with the awful to make the best of it, stiches great escape. Then they bring in buzz, which is good and fits well enough into tomorowland, no problems with this ride. But now they are replacing 'the timekeeper' which IMO was a very good tomorowland attraction which monsters inc!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and the people that I've talked to about who've been in the one in california, its worse then stitch. How the hell does monsters fit into the world of tomorow. Space transportation of people and aliens possible - space transportation of lame cartoons not possible. Time travel may not be possible but with a futuristic robot it makes it seem possible but replace it with a bunch of monsters would definatly not of been in walts (rip) plans for the future of tomorowland. Tomorowland is slowly turning into sci-fi fantasy land and I for one think walt would be spinning in his grave if he ever got word of this! Shocking shocking desicion. If you hadn't guessed by now tomorowland is my favourite part of the MK which I used to associate with more maturer rides for the teens and young adults - yes there should be rides for all in disney but do we need another fantasyland (which is based for young children). These decisions are not in the benefit of the magic kingdom imo!

Sorry bout that but Its so ridiculous I had to let it off my chest

Rant over

Agreed I think most people here agree on the fact that it seems fantasyland has expanded to Tomorrowland....:( :( ...It really is about to become more of a movie based theme park then MGM:(

I will stand by the original statement. Let your money and ideas do the talking. If you really don't like it, be sure to send a letter and say why and that it and other things might be affecting your decision to return. Love of an attraction doesn't speak. Enough people that don't feel the excitement to go or to tell others does.
