Timekeeper gone for good.

You scared me -- please don't post things like that if unconfirmed or you'll give me a heart attack.

Timekeeper is not necessarily gone for good. It has been used as a Meet and Greet in the past (since its seasonal closure). (GUH).

http://www.d-troops.com/theater.php?id=40 - a resource with Timekeeper information and directions to WRITE DISNEY if you do not feel a Meet and Greet should be replacing this area.

The queue for Timekeeper is now used for a meet and greet. Does this mean that Timekeeper will not be returning. My source is here under ears to the ground. timekeeper
Let's hope so! I can't stan circlevision shows! They make me dizzy and I hate standing for a movie! Please put something useful in the space!

I'm torn on this issue.

I never really liked the whole Timekeeper deal but I don't want it to "go away" if it isn't going to be replaced with something. (Oh, wait, that's the current situation, right?)

I would like it to be replaced with something that the park doesn't already have. Not sure what that would be... But, that's why I'm not an Imagineer!

I only saw it once as it is always closed when we are there. I liked it, my wife did not as it makes her get sick. I always liked the original show there, I will try to spell it Montasano's circlevision, is that right? I just would like to sit as my feet are always aching but then the attraction would be useless.

Like Grizz said, it hasn't been confirmed that TK is closed. Please choose your wording wisely next time.

This is probably the best CircleVision show Disney has created. The type of attraction that it was made it unique. It isn't a thrill ride, but it's still a crowd pleaser and a great alternative to other attractions with long waits. It would be awesome if they continued the theme, but added a new storyline. I will be very sad if this attraction is gone for good. No other form of an attraction would best suit the building other than it being a CircleVision theater.

Just because you don't like it is not a really valid reason to remove it. Some of us think the attraction is great and useful. There is something for everyone at WDW. There are attractions I cannot stand, but, I would not wish for them to be removed because I do understand (and care) that others like them.

I think the vaid reason for its removal is that it really doesnt translate to an american audience. Its a french thing and while done very, very well, it doesnt draw in an american crowd by using nothing but european history.

Granted american history is dominaently eurocentric, the film just doesnt draw them in. It served its time well; time to do somethign more constructive with teh spot.

During Christmas Week when Timekeeper was open, it had varying hours that were not set to the park hours. When Timekeeper was closed, it was used as a BUzz meet n greet.

Buzz was inside the building early morning (Stitch was outside too), the Timekeeper was open, and then Buzz would return inside after TK was closed for the night.

Well the Timekeeper queue has already been a gift shop, and now it's a meet and greet, so no way will it close now. It hasn't been a resturant yet. As soon as you can dine with 9 Eye then we know it's on it's way out. And PhotoDave if the something constructive with the spot means bumper cars, then I would rather it be a meet and greet :)

Seriously though, what do you think would be a good replacement for this place? Another CircleVision film? A new attraction? Or something different?

Excuse me but this is MY opinion! I never stated that I wanted it gone because I didn't care or understand that others might like it! My gosh this is a message board and people will give opinions that you don't necessarily agree with! I will not revoke my statement because I still hope that Timekeeper becomes history! Let's replace it with something that people actually want to see. *Side Note- If it was such a popular attraction, then why are they only opening it seasonally? Hmmm...*

You make a valid point. I never really realized that it was almost completely Euro-centric (save for the city of ten million dreams, and one parking space), but thinking back, I can see that. Still, I think it would be a real shame to lose such great cinematography, an amazing score, and, of course, Robin Williams as Timekeeper. I'm really sad that the attraction may close permanantly, since I always enjoyed it when I could see it.

I "actually" want to see it, whenever I go.

I do respect your opinion, but there are still many that would like to see it stay. Just because you, personally, don't like the attraction, it doesn't mean that no one likes it. I love the Timekeeper and wish it were open more often. I usually visit WDW in the offseason (early/mid November) and it's never open. I saw it in July for the first time in years and loved it (and I'm glad I got to see it, since the future may or may not be too bright).

I think Disney has made a clear statement that this attraction will soon go the way of its counterpart in Paris, I just hope the final plan does not involve a meet and greet...Tomorrowland needs a quality new ride following Stitch...perhaps something novel without movie tie-ins? There are plenty of sci-fi plots that are not represented in Tomorrowland yet...

Because the WDW management is stupid sometimes. Ever heard of Stich's Great Escape? I rest my case.

I don't remember ever visiting Timekeepers. What is the size of the attraction, and what type of attraction do you think would replace Timekeepers?

I still think a circlevision movie is the only appropriate attraction for the building. If you ever went in the Circlevision movies in France or China of World Showcase, then it's the same thing.

seasonal

The show is seasonal. The front area has always been used the last couple years for buzz to sign autographs.

It will open during peaks times.

Alot of people are getting out of hand here. No reason to get upset.
