Exactly what I was thinking. There are definitely now, and have been in the past, attractions that I didn't really like. However, I didn't/don't go around bad mouthing them and saying that I think they should be closed. Every attraction has its fans. I like timekeeper, obviously some don't. It's okay. I just wish they'd respect that some of us do like it.

Great post!!! I have no qualms about saying I don't like attractions, but, I sure don't have the urge to see them closed. :)

Same here!! If there is a loyal fan base for an attraction, then the last thing I would want is for them to suffer cause I personally didn't like the attraction.

The one exception is SGE!! The majority of people on this site don't like it(no wide fanbase) and I personally can't stand stitch or the attraction. I think the SGE "distraction" should be destroyed and replaced with something that isn't a piece of ____ about a stupid, unwanted character.

See Gail I'm speaking my mind.:D :hammer: :p

LOL, yes, yes, you are. :)
I have not seen SGE yet. There seems to be a lot of debate about this attraction, but, I think I will wait to see it before I form an opinion.

Funny how I recieved the same remarks as well without any names left. At least I have the guts to leave my name when I leave a negative point. Actually they just made me chuckle to myself to think that people get so upset over a Disney board. Must mean they have a lonely, pathetic life....How sad!

Can we please stop with the bad mouthing of other members. If you have a problem with someone having left you a negative rep point, that's one thing. There is no need to make personal attacks on those people, though. Thank you.

Talking about the reputation points is like asking what the second man on the moon said. The only reason I see them useful is if you post rumors or updates and they turn out to be true/false.

I don't see why you are getting so upset about his comment.

Unless you are the one who has left one of us bad rep points in which case his comment applies directly to you, and I guess you have a right to be offended.

However, he is doing nothing worse than the people who left negative rep with a rude comment and did not have the decency to leave a name and/or a reason for the negative rep.

My gosh this is a message board and people will give opinions that you don't necessarily agree with it!

I totally agree wtih you. That is what I like about the message boards. You give your opinion and you can't agrue with other. I agree with you. People either like what you have to say or don't! Freedom of speach.

Being someone who has been on SGE, I can't imagine that they would close Timekeeper. Think about this: I HIGHLY doubt that many people are going on SGE more than once (that is more like a guarentee), and I there should be more options in Tomorrowland. Since we can pretty much write off the blunder across from Buzz, the more options in Tomorrowland, the better...

I think we've hit upon the heart of the disucssion here. Playing devils advocate for a moment. Disney's main problem is that all these attractions do not have the capacity to retain guests. People see them once and move on. Execs and analysts see these numbers and instantly want to redo everything. (ala SGE). In the end the wind up replacing an attraction with potential with a mediocore one. (again ala SGE). or they stick stroller parking or a meet and greet in.

I don't understand why tearing down is favored instead of building up. Take an attraction like TK and CoP and build them up. Make people want to see these attractions over and over again like SM or BTMRR or Philharmagic. Add some dramatic elements, update the show, and create some buzz about the attractions.

I know its easier said than done, but surely there are some creative people left in the house of mouse. (And don't call me Surely);)

First off, no I did not leave negative rep for anyone. I rarely do so and will sign it when I do. There actually is a difference between what he is doing and a person leaving a rude comment with negative rep and not signing though. If someone leaves a rude comment and neg rep for you, then you are the only person that can read it. You can tell other people that someone left this comment and didn't sign, but otherwise no one really knows about it. It's in private. This was an open comment on people that left negative rep. The point of this discussion in the first place was supposed to be about Timekeeper and by extension the quality of Tomorrowland attractions(ie Why make Timekeeper seasonal when there are a number of people that feel it is better quality than SGE?). Commenting on people's personal lives because they left negative rep has no place in this discussion. The complaint was already made clear that they left him bad rep and didn't sign and that the same thing happened to you, and I'm sorry it did. Was what they did cowardly? Maybe. It's also possible that what happens when I sometimes leave positive rep occurred, and they neglected to sign it because they hit the submit button before realizing they didn't put in their signature. Just because they decided to leave negative points doesn't mean that they lead sad or pathetic lives, it just means they have different conditions that they follow for leaving negative rep. So can we please move on from the comments about rep leaving people's personal lives and please go back to the discussion about Timekeeper and Tomorrowland?

Edit: Oh, and just for the record, I received positive rep for the comment you are questioning me on, so someone seems to agree with me on it. I'm sorry if you don't, it's just how I feel.

I find them useful for other things, like information about WDW (not rumors or news). IE: opinions. While I make up my own mind, the opinions of folks with pos. squares mean more to me than ones with neg. squares. The exception to that rule is Woody. :)
