Got to love the Tiki Goddess! We loved UNM...at least there was some excitement in it thanks to Iago and the Tiki Goddess. And yes we saw the original version plenty of times. We will not even waste our time for this latest revised original version... Not even for the AC.
Here compare.

Revised original Vers.

I went to Tiki room multiple times on my last trip and there was at least 10 to 15 people each of the shows including myself. I went to the Tiki room before midday and past 6 at night. I was at WDW theme parks last week and earlier this week and that means my information is recent.
My wife and I actually like this ride, of course we also own 6 pet birds

I have been to the parks this time of year.. It is not busy. So there are never lines to wait in. I can see why there was no one in the theater with you. I actually hated going this time of year because when there are no lines, How many times can you keep riding the same rides over and over before you hit a wall of boredom. Yea yea.. I know I'm at Disney, granted I love the place. (DVC member) but after riding jungle cruise 3 times in one day. It does get a tad boring/loss of excitement. jmo

I think you have to take Tiki Room for what it is. It is a Disney Classic. Think of Carousel of Progress. Are there amazing effects and is it high thrill? No. But it is a Disney Classic. I feel like the Tiki Room is held to a higher standard then some of the old classic, Disney rides. It is what it is. I'm glad its still there and I hope it stays.

Now as far as replacing Splash during EMH for the Tiki Room? Ridiculous.

No surprise this attraction fails to draw crowds. It is a relic of the distant past with very limited appeal to today's masses. There will always be its advocates, but the reality is the Tiki Bird show hasn't been a major hit in decades.

When my wife and I went for our honeymoon in 2010, we skipped it. She asked why, I told her about Iago. She said yeah lets skip it. Now we will go see it, since it is back to normal.

Now how do we get them to bring back Alien Encounter and dump stitch?

Oh wow ..... I can remember when the Tiki Room was actually enjoyable!! (and having in the tiki, tiki, tiki room) stuck in my head, until its replaced by "its a small world after all....." I was looking forward to the Tiki Room too in October
We did it over Labor Day..it was probably 70% full...it was nice and cool...and I enjoyed the Tiki Tiki Tiki Room...(I certainly dont think it wil be an EMH hit however)

The last time I went into the Tiki room was sometime in mid June and was the first time in a looong time. The place was full and after all these years I found myself smiling and clapping my hands the whole time.
