Really? How do you know me? You don't have a clue of where I've eaten in this World.
Very true, and if I offended you, I apologize. The picture looks like a 3-4 oz portion of waygu beef in the 3 sections, and $21 for that is actually cheap.

Completely agree.. This looks like any normal fine dining restaurant that you'd find in any major city in the world.... Of course the prices are Theme Park prices, but they aren't that far off.

While I think that the portions could be larger or the prices a few dollars cheaper, I would agree that these prices seem in line with "fine dining" combined with "theme park surcharge".

Precisely... We all would love these places with amazing food for high prices to offer larger portions, and slightly cheaper options... but that isn't their market.. Thus, I never go to restaurants like that.

I can live with 'fine dining + theme park surcharge' if it truly is fine dining and the theme park surcharge is reasonable.

Based on the menu & the pics, they've seem to have gotten the 'fine dining' part nailed...

Don't forget about STK at Disney Springs! Yikes! It would be difficult to eat with a family of 5 ( about 400-500$) unless you budgeted 2 table service credits on the DDP.

Well, add another place to the list of WDW places I will not be eating at!
agree sadly, way over priced with no lunch menu, its getting ridiculous. le cellier, now chefs de france has done the same thing, and now here.
With around 140 restaurants around Disneyworld, I think we all can eat at most of them. I'm resigned to knowing I won't be eating at a few of them because of cost but saying that, they need a few of these places for special moments or other memories people want to make. I can't blame then, in fact I'm glad they have all ranges of restaurants to eat at. Just my opinion.

What are the views like from outside the lounge? I know it was mentioned to have a water view but can you actually see anything like Pandoras floating mountains? Or are you just looking at foliage?
Trees mostly, nothing of Pandora

My question is if it will be an actual fine dining experience, food, atmosphere, service and patrons, the entire package makes for a fine dining experience. V&A is IMO a fine dining experience.

I wonder if this will play out over the months as fine dining worthy of the status and price. You can for example have the best meats available but you must have the best kitchen staff to pull the prep off every single time. I've found the late to the party signature restaurant in Epcot Canada to fall short in the prep department several times, along with service. A fine dining establishment will keep to their reservation times, know how to pace a meal at proper intervals, not how quickly they can turn a table.

Cali while beautiful, is now tight and squishy, loud at times since it is now more an upscale family venue bringing with it a different atmosphere than other Disney Fine Dining choices. With so many upscale restaurants launching at the same time they are all going to have to ferret through the available, experienced staff to hunt down talented staffing in order to pull off the price point they have set. Me, I don't know if there are indeed that many talented individuals to fill all the slots of these new establishments launching and enough patrons to actually make them all viable. Time will tell.

One thing that excites me about this place is the ability to make a donation to the conservation fund and write your answer to one of the travel/adventure-related questions on the wall. I'm not totally sure how that works, but it's in the Nomad Lounge, and it sounds neat.

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it. I have a feeling a good number of guests will feel short-changed. Maybe not though. It will be interesting to see the other reviews.

You must be really breaking the bank lately with all of these new restaurants having opened in the last few weeks. You seemed to like every one of them, which is good. That's a good sign. I hope the other guests like them as well. Thank you for writing such in-depth reviews.
