Based on Lightning Lane availability for today, I wonder if the ride may shut down early today.

Not yet. The VQ status doesn't say that it has concluded for the day yet.
Hopefully they get it reopen tonight. Especially since today is a rare 11pm closing..

Update.
They called it off the VQ with a little over 2 hours left remaining until park close. However I saw a livestream that guests were actively riding it, so maybe it's just LL guests now.

7am: 1.6 secs
1pm: 1.7 secs
BG 95 (-55) is the last BG called for the day at 6:36pm.
Notable stoppages:
9:00 - 10:33am
10:55 - 11:13am
12:19 - 1:00pm
3:40 - 6:36pm (weather)
6:36 - 10:00pm
Note, ops seemingly shut down the VQ line soon after it reopened at 6:30pm, only allowing LL guests in until park close. Probably a huge backlog of LL guests they had to get through, so they blocked off any further BGs from being called.
But in all, over 10 hours of "downtime" today.
Average pace: 5mins/BG
VQ Drop Mean/Average:
7am: 50m -> 43m (-7m)
1pm: 2m -> 2m (+0)

I saw on a livestream that guests were still riding on TBA around 8:30pm. I just think they cut off the VQ line, but allowed LL's to continue to come.
So I don't think the ride had an early shutdown/close today. But unless someone can verify on the ground (or another livestream shows the ride), we won't know for sure.

And they could have extended the hours for LL because of the thunderstorm, maybe? Exhaust all of the LLs?
I'll still watch my hypothesis in the following days.
It’s odd. Since there is no status flag in the App for TBA how would guests who had their LL changed to a multiple experiences pass even know to go the TBA?
The only people who wouldn’t know the difference are guests with an actual scheduled LL during that time.
