Its dumb that it is at all, there is no reason to have made this so difficult and complicated to where you need a masters degree in trying to win the system. The area is designed and always has been to handle long standby lines. But ops are lazy and too many tech geeks in disneys kitchen trying to control every move.

Good for you! I got BG 2, had to cancel it because kids can't get up that early.

Bummer!! We got on the first boat of the day. We have never had that experience for any attraction before and it made it that much more special for our family. Hope you get a later group next time you try.

Speechless. I don’t know what I would do if I couldn’t take advantage of the best 2 hours of the day, especially in the summer.

We are in that boat too - my kids (and wife) just can't get up early on vacation.
I've just learned to accept it vs push them and then they are miserable.
We arrive late and enjoy the evening times. If we get G+, we (I) stack everything for later - will do the same with LLMP for days we get it.
Take advantage of deluxe evening hours or if doing an off-site stay will get After Hours tickets instead of regular park tickets
