Just a blank fence. Which means they probably put more budget into it than they needed to since they could’ve just left it alone.
I'd have prefered sun-faded signage for the old Salt Dome Mining company or a billboard advertising Tiana's Palace or Big Daddy La Bouff's Granulated Sugar. Then maybe dressed up and made more Mardi Gras and/or celebratory. The plain fence would have also sufficed provided they "swampified" it. I agree that it looks low effort and anachronistic.

How will it impact our trip?
It won’t really.
Has anyone been to a park on a media preview day? Will it be crowded?
it shouldn’t feel much more crowded
Will areas be roped off? Will hours be reduced?
Hours will not be impacted. I think Guardians & Tron they did rope off those areas but they were not accessible to guests at that point anyway. I don’t think theyll do the same here anyway, regardless it shouldn’t effect you as a guest.

Too bad the banner WAS found...
agree, what happened to the element of surprise in attractions,,,,we really don't need that banner in the middle of a bayou. Why do guests need to be told where they are heading! It takes the fun and story element of what may or may not be around the corner away. Imagineering is just uggg with so many things like this anymore. Quite frankly the banner and that fence mural ruin the look of the whole area, and it was starting to look pretty nice....they don't go together at all or with the surroundings. Sometimes less really is more, too many things being crammed in.

Isn’t the banner part of the storytelling? We’re being welcomed to the Mardi Gras celebration so a banner would make sense.
