Agreed. I'm simply saying the standard downtime would've been helpful given all of the issues. It opened late June. This shouldn’t be happening this early in the life cycle.
I don't think it was so much a justification as a reason some people were excited to see what they hoped would represent a change, which was honestly a reasonable expectation given that something similar like Frozen Ever After generally has animatronics that give performances as good as when the attraction first opened about a decade ago. By contrast, the older animatronics (which I assume are hydraulic?) tend to be allowed to wear into a condition where their range of motion significantly deteriorates over time. What is happening with TBA feels anomalous enough that I think it's unfair to say people were foolish to believe that it would maintain a certain amount of quality for at least a decade. But hey- the costly AA maintenance and “bad show” was a reason so many were using to justify a change from Splash. Maybe this means we’ll get an upgraded experience (or attraction) sometime soon!
