I think the ride is underwhelming but the queue at Disneyland is fantastic. I think it’s probably the second best in the park after Indy. ROTR gets dinged for the first 3/4 being boring as heck.
I love rise of the resistance but the queue up until the first pre show is pretty boring

Still have to put up my son’s new poster. Sorry, still not as cool as my Tiki Room poster.

I wouldn't feel as negatively toward it if it hadn't unnecessarily replaced the Great Movie Ride in DHS. I love the queue and facade in Disneyland, from what I've seen online. I still dislike that they used the creepy Mickey design. And there are too many screens.
I loved TGMR right up there in my Top attractions in Disney and altho MMRR to me is such a great fun ride it should have been an addition not a replacement but i truly enjoy the attraction completely especially all the hidden mickeys and the catching song.

It desperately needs the downtime it would have normally gotten around this time of year to address some of the persistent issues, but I guess that's on hold for Big Thunder.
It opened late June. This shouldn’t be happening this early in the life cycle.

But hey- the costly AA maintenance and “bad show” was a reason so many were using to justify a change from Splash. Maybe this means we’ll get an upgraded experience (or attraction) sometime soon!

Agreed. I'm simply saying the standard downtime would've been helpful given all of the issues.

I don't think it was so much a justification as a reason some people were excited to see what they hoped would represent a change, which was honestly a reasonable expectation given that something similar like Frozen Ever After generally has animatronics that give performances as good as when the attraction first opened about a decade ago. By contrast, the older animatronics (which I assume are hydraulic?) tend to be allowed to wear into a condition where their range of motion significantly deteriorates over time. What is happening with TBA feels anomalous enough that I think it's unfair to say people were foolish to believe that it would maintain a certain amount of quality for at least a decade.
