Looks like WDW added the tribute to Ray and Evangeline that DL has right before the dip drop.
I know. I misworded my post. Apologies for any confusion.Nope, at the end before Odie. It's where Brer Fox and Brer Bear used to be with the gator.
Your profile picture looks a little more gruntled than mine.Seems like the Ray and Evangeline stars are also tucked behind the finale set at Disneyland too. So who's the real Ray and Evangeline?!

What would @mickEblu look like if he had a Walt picture? I'm almost afraid to ask.We are the brotherhood of Various Levels of Gruntled Walt
Rode it yesterday. The 3 out of 4 Tiana animatronics weren't working properly and Mama Odie at the end was completely static. Because they made the entire ride about these dumb animatronics with absolutely no filler. It was just a logflume with annoying Zydeco music and nothing interesting to look at.
The foot print of this ride as way to large for what it is. It's pretty lame and can't believe they thought the redo was a good idea. It's just dumb and the ride makes me cringe. It's funny because I sat at the exit and watched everyone leaving and majority of people came out with the same expression as if they got off of The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. No excitement to ride again or even talk about what happened. Just, "what's next." For sure not a good look on the magic and appeal of Disneyland.
I always used a poncho on Splash. Always. No matter the weather. I always put my stuff in tight zip locks, my whole backpack got put into a plastic bag, and I had a change of shoes. I never knew if it was going to barely get wet, or the whole damn logs was going under water. A lot of the time people would end up waist deep in Bayou water. I'm literally gobsmacked that they didn't take any of the time they had to fix this. Especially now with the marketing of the rude shifting and them trying to target younger kids, I can see this being an issue....People use a poncho because it's been under 70 degrees the past few weeks (actually supposed to warm up a bit next weekend). When it's 80+ in the summer most people don't mind getting wet because it feels good in the heat.
The only reason so many people are riding it in the cold weather now is because it's new. Most people skipped Splash in the winter time and it would have a 5 minute wait because people have already ridden it several times and didn't want to get wet.
I'm sure by the next winter or two things will die down and it will become skippable again. I don't see how this is a deep flaw. You got pretty wet on Splash too. I have a picture of me sitting in the front in summer of 2016 and I was completely drenched from head to toe before the drop.

But at least you can imagine them lifting crates of beignets with cranes!I noticed that on my ride through as well. A poor kid got drenched at the front of the log, and there wasn't any excitement after the drop/floating into the finale. You then end in an oddly quiet load station with no music and no energy and are on your way.
Splash was so dang satisfying to ride I feel like the general vibe at the end was better from riders.
