Does anyone know if you can buy coffee with chicory in New Orleans Square? A sweetened café au lait with that stuff is delicious!

I don't, no. But that'd be a good beat to tie-in with the NO theme. Although personally I find it taste like ground roots. ;) Or a stressful exam after having gnawed my way through a number 2 pencil. Blech! For those that enjoy chicory roast coffee, it's appears to be absent from the Cafe Orleans menu. Unfortunate as it would probably pair well with the cheesecake.

I distinctively remember seeing articles interviewing him long after the retheme was announced.
There were none of him being directly interviewed about the Splash retheme AFTER June 2020. Any article that might have been posted after June 2020 only had quotes of him from previous interviews, they did not interview him directly. He got his 15 minutes of fame, and then it wasn't news anymore and the interviews stopped.

People still complain about attractions like Mr. Toad and the Great Movie Ride being shut down. How is my being upset over Splash Mountain being shut down any different?
Posters aren't posting all day everyday about those two attractions anymore, that is the difference. Also the attraction isn't even shutdown yet.

Plus lots and lots of people on Twitter, too.

This isn't Twitter, you can't place your frustration about those postings on us here. The two posters you even mentioned that are from this site aren't even posting in this thread anymore as they've probably grown tired of this topic. You are literally arguing with yourself about Twitter posters that won't even see it. Maybe you should go find those Twitter postings and post your very passionate thoughts on this topic. But here you should probably just leave this topic alone for awhile, at least until they announce an actual closing date.

Anyways just some friendly advice, take it don't take it doesn't matter to me. But just know that I'm sure you're going to start getting posters here using the ignore feature on you if they haven't already.

Hey, @Brer Panther, I really do love you! I take the time to respond to your posts because I care. And I’ve said it before, but I am truly sorry you are losing an attraction you love, and I’m sorry you were treated poorly on Twitter.
Well said! 👏🏻

I can only speak for myself but I mean no insult to @Brer Panther or any fellow pro-Splash posters. I for one understand given WDI’s recent track record why there’d be concern, trepidation, and even anger among fans of Spash 1.0 and the Brers.

But I also respectfully think until we get more details on the ride’s closure and the retheme it’s all been a bit too hyperbolic at this point for my taste. For which the blame falls squarely on Disney who frankly made some very sloppy “off-brand” comments about the ride itself that gave cover (if not a greenlight) to online trolls on both sides of this issue to pile.

Most of us are just trying to reasonably explain why TWDC sees this as the best means to move forward. But it’s all a digression now.
