This year's Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade will be based around 'Frozen'

I didn't even feel like it was a commercial for the Parks either though.
And that's the reason I watch it, only been watching the last 3 years (from Australia) and it's gotten progressively worse with each year.
Like would have been good to provide an update on what's happening in 2015 - like the Tagline eg Year of a Million FP+ (lol), Disney Springs, Avatar, 7DMR, FP+, Frozen in the Parks etc etc

I didn't watch it to the end but didn't think they did any of that.

The "Do you want to build a snowman" performance is keeping me awake right now... that song should never have been sung anywhere except in the film. It's not that she was a bad singer... it just wasn't written to be sung in any other context!

And to make matters worse, they added a Hawaiian melody. :banghead: :banghead:
My thought was, "They sing the snowman song in Hawaii, but not "In Summer"? It's like they randomly assigned these things.

I was thinking that as well. If they wanted to really suprise people how about military families and loved ones returning home or something like that
When I heard at the beginning that they were doing reunions, I expected at least one military family. All of the actual stories were pretty disappointing in that context. I don't even get the point... they're trying to get people to book these kinds of reunions at Disney. Would any of the people in the stories they chose that couldn't afford a $400 plane ticket to visit friends/family have ever decided on a $4,000 Disney vacation instead?

It was implied that Disney sprang for the accommodations.

Yes. even my 4 year old who Is obsessed with all things frozen walked away multiple times. She sat through last years in entirety. We actually still have it on our DVR and watch it often.

I had last years parade on my DVR for over a month, today's was so boring it was deleted after one (mostly fast forwarded) viewing. Ironically, I had about a dozen friends who have daughters put pictures on Facebook today and every one got some type of Frozen present. Frozen is still very much in demand, Disney just completely missed with the parade, my friends pictures of their adorable kids was infinitely more entertaining than the special.

I didn't even feel like it was a commercial for the Parks either though.
And that's the reason I watch it,

I'm the same way, the Discovery channel has been showing the same Disney shows for years and I still stop and watch every time I'm channel surfing and stumble across them. Just show me the parks and I'll be happy.

Agree with everyone else. It was awful. One long advertisement for Frozen. And a poorly done one at that.

As for the reunions, everyone shared the same sentiment - We can't afford a trip right now. Disney should run with that theme. "We know you can't afford a trip right now because we've made it too expensive, so enter to win one."

The reunions weren't about "we can't afford a Disney trip". It was "we can't afford to see this family member for the holiday in their state" and Disney chose to send them to Disney. But I get some of the complaints about that and the confusion.

The two friends and the mom/adopted son were the best. I enjoyed those but I can see why others didn't. Honestly, the reunions were the best part.

It felt every bit that 2 hours. I really enjoyed last years. There was nothing about this years that I'd want to see again, unlike in the past when I've rewatched certain things.

This was the worst production of a television show on ABC /Disney ever. The musical numbers was even cut short. a host at Disneyland i never heard about before yesterday. no one care about Tim Tebow anymore. Ariana G should take her sexy stage act back to Nickledeon she may been drunk when those male dancers keep holding onto her while she had hair problems. The sexy (internet?) singing couple choose the wrong song for a xmas show. No parade floats was shown from California. The parts that was film in Florida was use to hide the construction walls. the small girls dance troups with Olaf was not in sync. the cheerleader numbers was cut to short and the use of force camera angle made the Main Street look two mile long. Santa At the beginning of the show was the worst.

I generally liked it. The only complaint I have was them using this as a platform for the new singles from some artists. I honestly don't give a crud about Trisha Yearwood's new album. I want to hear Christmas songs or Disney songs.

Also was it necessary to show peoples in the audience making a heart symbols with their fingers on camera while singing along with the music. Who was Trish Yearwood waving to in audience? that made me think that the music was pre recorded during a retake.

If this whole special was about "Together-ness" The where's Chewbacca's Family....Disney's missing out on that Life Day celebration...:hilarious:

Making the Wookie walk....Pfft..Pure idiocy...

Well, of course Grandpa Itchy isn't going to be there. He's probably at home watching his Holographic Wowie, the dirty old man. And yes- Chewbacca's dad watching an adult production was a thing that happened in that special.

Awful. Just as everyone said.

I was most surprised about how inept Robin Roberts and Tim Tebow were at reading off the teleprompter, given their current lines of work. I generally enjoy Robin Roberts (and generally loathe Tim Tebow), but this was not the venue for either of them.

Of course the parade is a giant commercial. Anyone who watches it ANY year and doesn't comprehend that is an idiot.

They really needed a big, flashy, opening number. With an entertainer, not a newscaster. Best to get Neil Patrick Harris back next year, as that opening was the best in recent memory. I still listen to that song on my iPod nearly every day.

The CGI of the "frozen" Main Street was laughably bad.

Anyone else bothered by the fact that MICKEY MOUSE, of all characters, had about two seconds of airtime?

Well? It felt less like a commercial this year but I thought it was really kind of boring. I think the main problem is the still pretend this is a live show but most of their best Christmas celebrations take place at night, Osborne lights, Very Merry Christmas Party... they should do this Christmas show in prime time and broadcast the night time stuff instead of this, or maybe do both, like NBC does the Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree lighting, and now these live musicals early in December, and then replays them throughout month. I watched Peter Pan Live twice simply because it was on. If they ran the Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party on TV with some decent musical acts I'd watch it a couple times

I liked Tim Tebow as a host. I liked the parts where they put him in the parade. I just wish they spent more time on that then the omg come to Disney parts. I think tim tebow didn't really have time to prepare . He only joined good morning America in sept.
