Have fun! I work at a university on the quarter system (we start on the 22nd), and right now is THE busiest time the year for us. Where I'm swamped, you get to bask in the glory that is WDW all to yourself! Congrats to you and anyone else down there who gets to take advantage! :sohappy:

See, this is one of the few times I kick myself for being a teacher. I would love to be there right now walking right on the rides with no wait. However, I can go at the end of February when everyone but my school district has school. We get off for the most random of "holidays", Rodeo Days. Yeah, can you tell I teach in the wild wild west? lol

Guests, yes. CMs, not so sure. While it can be a relief to not be inundated with huge crowds, when IO worked at Six Flags I preferred it to be crowded. It made the day go quicker.

I got there last thursday 9/2 @ 130pm and the Epcot parking lot and parked 3 rows before the trees on the left side, the right side had not one car(except handicap).

Friday checked in at the crystal palace for a 1pm lunch and we were the only people on the whole porch...:sohappy:

We arrive September 12 - 21 and I hope it is like this as well. We always go in September and only had a time or two when the parks were really crowed. September has always been a good time of the year for us to go. Less crowds, Room discounts always good weather except for a hurricane or two. Lastly it never seemed to be differrent far as crowd levels when the Economy was good or bad.

I'll also be there on the 12th. My flight lands around noon and heading straight there, definitely planning on taking full advantage of the MK EMH's that night. I'm really excited to hear that there's no one there! Maybe I'll see you guys!

Fewer guests means fewer hours. The CMs who are actually trying to earn a living hate it. College Program kids and "hobbyist" CMs are thrilled though.

Got here Sunday Night. (9/5/10) Got to Magic Kingdom around 11:30PM after DW and 4year old DD went to sleep. Walked on Jungle Cruise, Pirates, BTMR and HM, not a second of wait for anything. Yesterday got to Epcot at 9AM walked on every ride, Soarin', LWTL, Test Track (3 times in a row)Nemo and Maelstrom then had lunch with the princesses at Akershuis. We then took a 4 hour break at the Poly and went back to the San Angel Inn for dinner. Then rode Three cabeleros 3 times in a row(daughter wanted to go a fourth time, but I cut her off)), then rode Test Track 2 more times with no wait. Did DAK today and waited for nothing again.

Bad for business, but great for you!:D

When we still lived in FL, I taught in Osceola County, (my school was about 20 minutes from Disney) and they had a 'rodeo' day school day off every year at the end of February... small world. :animwink:

And @Bob (TheAmazingBobbo) a page or two ago, every once in a while there will be an educational conference at Coronado Springs Resort...keep an eye out for those and you might be lucky enough to get your school to pay for your trip to Disney. There's one coming up in a couple of months, actually:

100th Annual National Council of Teachers of English
Nov. 18-21, 2010

Teachers and Students Together: Living Literate Lives
The 100th Annual Convention of the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE) will be held Nov. 18 –21, 2010, in Orlando. The program includes hundreds of concurrent sessions and workshops, to be held at Disney's Coronado Springs and Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, focusing on all aspects of the teaching and learning of the English language arts. The Convention will be of interest to English language arts teachers (kindergarten through university) from across the country and the world, as well as librarians, reading specialists, administrators, consultants, and students studying to be teachers.
