:lol: Sorry...couldn't help myself. Seriously folks, whenever you have any kind of message board with this kind of membership, you're going to see differences of opinions & there will be clashing. I've experienced a little tiff here & there myself & by no means am I a fighter. It's just sad that grown adults even NEED things such as "moderators" to make sure that they type nice to people on a website. Just the idea itself brings a Kindergarten feel to the whole thing. The unfortunate thing is that they have the final say so & just as with topics & people in general, there will be clashes there too. That's how I ended up at this board, another site was being led by a crazed, maniacal Hitleresque troll & the decision finally came to some of us that we either had to deal with his nonsense or go elsewhere. I opted for the latter. This forum is really a much more laidback & relaxed environment & I like it here. I don't always agree with things being deleted or opinions that are expressed, the ways those opinions are expressed or the attitudes that some members have. Oh well, life goes on. It stinks, yes, but who am I to say a thing about it? Does anyone here really give a damn what I think? Of course not!

I have been on this site since, oh, around February I think. From what I've seen, Steve isn't going to go around and start deleting threads without a reason. This reason I've just quoted is perfectly legit in my opinion.
We have no idea what is going on with situations like him PMing the troublemakers and so forth. I just assume he is taking the correct steps to solve any situation, because he always has before. Let's all back off a bit, and find out the reasons the actions were taken before getting angry. Like he said, if you disagree with a decision he has made, PM him and he'll answer.
If he doesn't have a good reason, the get angry.

It has been brought to my attention that some of you think I was kissing Steve's a$$ with that last post. Not only that, there are ALSO some who think I'm one of the "secret" moderators.
Let me say 2 things right now:
1. I AM NOT an a$$ kisser. Never have been, and NEVER will be. My post was MY opinion, that's it!
2. I am not now, nor have I ever been an overall moderator of this site. I am a moderator of the contests area, but that is all. If you all feel like you're in the dark, then I'm right there with you.
I hope that clears some things up. I don't agree with everything that goes on around here either, but I'm not going to start a fight with the one person who has the control to shut the site down. Things have been pretty good up until now. More members, however, means more conflict, and this site is growing fast. There isn't much we can do about it except hit the report to moderator button. It's been made perfectly clear how that works, and in my opinion, it makes sense.

Thats going to far. I mean to say to assume MSU is one of the secret moderators, is ludicrous. You all know the old saying about assuming...

Man, Steve, how do you stay so nice and so methodical with the operations of this forum. You know what...thats the whole reason why I like this forum more than any other forum I have ever joined. You have one heck of a tolerance level. Now I can understand how the YSTM board got out of hand. Its like a dark cloud with no silver lining.
I have to agree with MSU and Steve. The Report to Moderator link is there for a reason, and I think we have reached a new level on this forum: seeing what happens when its used.
I have the highest respect for what Steve and the Super Moderators do, just as I respect the opinions of other people. I love to hear other peoples' opinions, and if I think differently, I might debate my opinion. The fact of the matter is, there is line to be drawn between a mature discussion and an argument. Some of these topics that turn into arguments are too petty to argue over. Everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. NowInc himself is a perfect example of that, stating his own opinion that he thinks it was wrong to remove the threads. MSU stated his own opinion, and was in no way $ucking up to anyone (my opinion).
Arguments are not worth the stress. No one here is out to get anyone else. The hardest thing to do is to learn how to read a post without pulling it out of context. Work on that and this forum will never have these problems again.
