Usually they were people who were molested as children themselves. And they're usually threatened by the molestors: "Tell anyone and I'll kill you/your family/your dog/etc." If the victim knows his/her attacker, the abuse could continue for years. The victims then grow up so traumatized, with this secret so embedded in their subconscious, they wind up having a warped sense of what's considered to be appropriate sexuality. They've had to keep this secret for so long (and often try to repress it), that the subconscious mind (and the body) rebels by sensualizing the experience & reenacting the very act that made them what they are today, only this time, they are the predator and not the prey.

To putit bluntly: Most molestors are not born/ They're made. They're your children, or your children's friends, or YOUR friends until someone else gets their hands on 'em and royally effs their mind up.

Sorry for getting on the ol' high horse there. And to be sure, some people who engage in this kind of activity are just sadistic malicious cretins, especially those who see fit to videotape it and circulate it to others (many of "those others" often foolishly justify watching kidporn by claiming that, by watching it, they can sublimate the urge and THEY in turn don't molest any children, so THAT makes it OK).

I just find it sadly ironic that, if for example, this girl in the video is never found, and she grows up much the same way as many victims do, and then becomes a molestor herself, all y'all will stop crying about what a "poor little thing" she is.

And you'll stop using your little frowny faces to show your concern for her ,

AND you'll be REALLY sad because it happened at DISNEY of all places. POOR DISNEY, WHY DO THEY HAVE TO DRAG YOUR NAME IN THE MUD?!?!?!

That sounds like an excuse to me. Same excuse people use saying how bad tv lyrics and violence on tv are. Those kids must be pretty "OUT THERE" if they're that stupid to do what tv or lyrics say. Parents use that as an excuse to win trials and such. "OMG MY SON KILLED YOUR SON BECAUSE HE SAW IT IN A VIDEOGAME." Whatever

I for one was molested, beat at, yelled at, touched. That's all I'm saying. I watch gory stuff and been watching horror movies since I was 5. I listen to METAL, RAP, ROCK and I'm a a/b student at the university of texas at brownsville. I'm into crafts and my hobbies are photography, writing and sleeping. I worked for disney for a year back in 2003 as a mousekeeper at the yacht and beach club resort.

Oh yeah, look at me now, I'm murdering left and right and I'm a sicko. I'm sure they'res some cases where they can't tell from right from wrong, but most of the time, they're excuses.

DON'T put words in my mouth. I never equated the cycle of molestation with people committing acts of violence they saw on TV or in a videogame.

I'm glad you're able to deal with what's happened to you in a healthy way, but I wouldn't condemn those who weren't able to the same. I'd want them to be punished if they hurt someone else-your past should not excuse you from committing atrocious acts on innocent children. I just wouldn't experience the sort of bloodlust other people on this forum seem to have when talking about what they'd like to do to a child molestor, because quite often they had two strikes and a foul-tip against them before they turned 18.
