The Resort (Pop Century)
-Arrived around noon on 9/8 & checked in (line not long)
-Received room in requested 50's section (close to pool - not loud at all)
-Our room was a 5 min. walk to/from the food court (preferred room not necessary)
-Room was very neat & clean (housekeeping did set ups almost every day)
-Service was great & cast members very friendly
-Food court was busy at times - ate there for lunch on arrival date & 2 additional times during the trip
-Very nice souvenir shop
-Transportation was excellent - never had to wait longer than 10 min.
-Pools were nice
-Frozen cokes & chocolate cake were wonderful :slurp: - although frozen coke machine was not working at times
-All bags were delivered by DME except for 1 - it was in the holding area at the resort (we got the bag the same day we arrived though)
Parks (overall)
-More crowded than I thought they would be & the weather was hotter than I thought it would be (in the 90's)
-Dining not an issue w/ reservations for the TS meals & if you go during non peak times for CS meals
-Characters were everywhere (we saw Pooh, Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, Mary Poppins, Ariel, Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, Suzy, Perla, Snow White, Dopey, Aurora, Belle, Jasmine, Aladdin, Baloo, Brer Bear, Brer Fox, Brer Rabbit, Woody, Jesse, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, Emilie, Pinocchio, Alice, the Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, Herbie, Genie, Cruella Deville, the witch from Snow White, Peter Pan & there are probably a few more
Epcot (9/8)
-Arrived late afternoon (Soarin', Living w/ the Land, Honey, I Shrunk the Audience before it closed for a refurb, Journey Into Imagination w/ Figment)
-Walked to Beach Club to eat at Cape May Cafe' for dinner - dinner was good
-Walked back to Epcot WS for Illuminations
-Went back to resort to unpack
MK (9/9)
-Arrived at the MK for the opening of the park (never seen before)
-Ate breakfast at CRT :king: - one of the best TS meals that I have had at WDW
-My 5 yr. old DD met Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, Belle & Jasmine
-There was an empty seat at our table & she said, "Cinderella can sit here!" :lol:
-We did not want to leave the castle
-Went to Fantasyland (Mad Tea Party, Cinderella's Carousel, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh & Snow White's Scary Adventures)
-Met Alice & the Mad Hatter at the tea cups
-Went to Adventureland (Swiss Family Treehouse, Enchanted Tiki Room, Jungle Cruise, Pirates of the Caribbean)
-My DH got a dole whip - he loved it :slurp:
-Ate at Peco Bill's (crowded, but the food was good)
-Went to Frontierland (Splash Mt. & Country Bear Jamboree)
-Watched parade, then went back to the resort
-Went back to the MK to eat dinner at The Crystal Palace (met Pooh, Tigger, Piglet & Eeyore)
-Went to Tomorrowland (Carousel of Progress, Transit Authority, Monsters, Inc., Buzz Lightyear, Tomorrowland Speedway & the Mad Tea Party)
-Watched Wishes
MGM (9/10)
-Ate breakfast at Starring Rolls Cafe'
-Playhouse Disney Live, The Great Movie Ride & Voyage of the Little Mermaid
-Extreme Stunt Show
-Ate lunch at Pizza Planet (pizza was great)
-Watched some of the parade (rained)
-Beauty & the Beast Live
-Ate dinner at Hollywood & Vine
-Indiana Jones Stunt Show (only got to see about 1/3 of the show - cancelled due to lightning)
-8:30pm Fantasmic Show cancelled due to rain storm
-Magic of Disney Animation & One Man's Dream
-Voyage of the Little Mermaid again
-Muppet Vision 3D
-Went to 10:00pm Fantasmic Show
Epcot/DTD (9/11)
-Went to The Living Seas (Nemo, Turtle Talk & exhibits)
-Ate lunch at the Electric Umbrella (great burgers)
-Toured Innoventions (kids loved making the robots)
-Test Track
-Went back to resort
-Went to DTD
-Ate dinner at PH (probably will not eat there again)
-Shopped at World of Disney
MK (9/12)
-Took DD to BBB in the castle - this was a wonderful experience (she loved it) :king:
-Went to Toontown (Goofy's Barnstormer)
-Rode the train around the park
-Went to Liberty Square (on the way, went through Fantasyland & saw Mickey's Philharmagic)
-Ate lunch at Columbia Harbor House (great meal)
-Went to the Hall of Presidents
-Went to Frontierland
-Saw Woody's Cowboy Camp (DH & DD were chosen to be in the show)
-Went to Fantasyland (Peter Pan & It's A Small World)
-Went to resort
-Went to the GF for dinner at 1900 Park Fare (good dinner - met Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Fairy Godmother, Suzy & Perla)
-Went back to resort
AK (9/13)
-Went to Dinoland USA (Dinosaur)
-Finding Nemo the Musical (great show)
-It's Tough To Be A Bug
-Ate lunch at Restaurantosaurus instead of Flame Tree BBQ (kids liked the menu better - actually had a great burger & kids got toy dinosaurs in their happy meals)
-Went to Asia (got FP for EE)
-Went to Africa (Kilamanjaro Safaris)
-Went back to Asia (Kali River Rapids & EE)
-Saw the parade
-Went back to resort
-Went to Mickey's Backyard BBQ for dinner show (burgers not good, but had all you can eat Mickey Mouse ice cream bars - my favorite; it rained, but we were under the pavillion)
-Went back to resort
MGM (9/14)
-Ate breakfast at 'Ohana's Best Friends at the Poly (best TS meal we had at WDW - great food & service - we could see the castle from our table) :slurp:
-Saw Lilo, Stitch, Mickey & Pluto (my 7 yr. old DS was thrilled - he loves Stitch)
-The waiter joked w/ my oldest DS about Lilo wanting to be his girlfriend :lol:
-Went to MGM (Playhouse Disney Live in Concert, Backlot Tour, characters & Tower of Terror)
-Went back to resort to rest (we were very tired) :snore:
-Had dinner at the Pop Century food court
-Took kids to the pool
MK (9/15)
-Cancelled Pirate Cruise for kids (they were just too tired & said they would rather go to the pool)
-Went to the MK
-Ate lunch at Cosmic Ray's
-DD met Alice & the Mad Hatter at the tea cups again
-DD met Cinderella, Belle & Aurora at Toontown while 2 DS's & DH rode Tomorrowland Speedway
-DD also met Ariel at her Grotto
-Rode The Haunted Mansion (loved it)
-Went back to resort
-Went to dinner at Chef Mickey's (great food & service - although Chip & Dale are no longer there - my oldest DS was disappointed)
-Went back to the MK (rode Mad Tea Party, Dumbo, Cinderella's Carousel, Peter Pan's Flight & It's A Small World)
-Saw some of Wishes
-Got tears in my eyes when we left the MK
Epcot (9/16)
-Went to the WS (rode the boats in Mexico & Norway)
-Walked around the WS
-Saw Snow White & Dopey, Belle, Jasmine & Aladdin & Aurora in the WS
-Went back to resort to catch the DME
That was our trip!
We had a great time!
I believe that we learned more on this trip than we did on our last one.
We learned that we need to take our time & enjoy the sights more.
We have already booked our trip for next Sept. w/ free dining at Pop Century.
We are looking forward to returning to WDW next year!
