From what I understand, as with everything at Disney, the Imagineers come up with great ideas for rides, attractions and merchandise, but it all gets tabled by the bean counters, who literally run WDW.I would but I did some research and saw this:

I would love to see a really nice quality miniature of Spaceship Earth, in the same vein as the Cinderella Castle and Main Street miniatures.

There was even one year that I decided to try and make this with a black craft board and loose led lights. It didn't turn out well.
If they sold this, I would snatch up a few to put up in my cubicle and my house.
