It’s just not good.idk why people hate on new Star Tours.

It’s just not good.
The story just isn’t there.I also find that despite it's randomized show scenes, it has less repeat-ability for me than the original.
Maybe because all Star Tours are the same, but it's not that interesting anymore. It also hasn't been "new" in almost a decade.

It’s fun and I ride it every visit, but it’s not good.Even though I prefer the original backstory, I think many ST2 critics are over-analyzing. The ride is still great fun.
Everyone that criticizes Star Tours 2.0 is high.
The original Star Tours created a story and characters, like R3X, to fit the ride experience.
Now the ride's been changed to fit in a list of known Star Wars characters. It's very forced and clumsy.
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage. I'm just happy that the submarines are back.
Easy to see why that is ....
Original Star Tours - Tony Baxter and his team.
Revised Star Tours - Tom Fitzgerald and his team.

Yep.... has Fitzgerald ever actually improved an attraction he's been tasked with modifying? Admittedly, I don't know much about his career- though I know he's also responsible for Constance.
Edit too add- the same goes with Kim Irvine. I'm not aware of any project she's done that I think couldn't be drastically improved, or is actually 'better' than what was there before.
The problem is new people never know what they are doing because they are NEW. You can't change a business you never worked for before.Disney really needs new people that know what they’re doing and aren’t just pushovers who know how to work the system. The track record of Kim Irvine is downright embarrassing. Project Curb Stomp and the plastic Instagram castle are reason enough to demote her to where she can’t make any further decisions.
You look like Michael Eisner.
