Well, I don't know if I'm the only one, but I like it. It's a nice shout-out. I haven't bought any plushes since my first WDW trip in 1990 and I'd get that one.

That's true. There's an additional Dreamfinder pin coming out soon... so I'm pleased in that sense.

Was there another thread on this? I could swear I made a post expressing my interest in one of the plushes...

If anyone feels like picking me up one next time they're in the World, PM me and we can work out payment details...

Looks like someone forgot to shave...

How on earth, even the happiest celebration on earth, did someone get money to design that!

I really don't think it's that big of an issue. . . kids would be much more receptive to Dreamfinder than Dr. Nigel Channing IMO.
I would think the opposite. Dreamfinder is a pirate-looking scary guy. After all, don't most bad guys have strange facial hair? Besides the obvious real guys (Hitler, Saddam, Osama), we have...

Stereotypical Bad Guy

In fact, the only 2 human-male-disney villains I can think of without facial hair are Frollo and Gaston. The stereotypical bad guy has facial hair. How many good guys have facial hair? The only ones I can think of have it to show age and/or to stay true to mythology.

Dr. Channing is much more lively, funny and quite a bit more friendly looking.

why the facial hair?? whyyyyy???? when Mickey dresses up as Uncle Sam at the American Adventure (or in patriotic media) he doesn't have a beard, why would he here?
i can't believe someone in marketing saw Mickey with his 70's mustache and perm and thought "that looks good!" and gave it the rubber stamp of approval. if he didn't have the hat, you could put him in knee-socks and skates and call him "roller-disco Mickey"

yeah...he looks like he should be hanging out with ron burgundy!
