Is it just me, or does Figment look like he's trying to get out of scary Mickey/Dreamfinder's grasp!!! RUN FIGMENT! RUN!

That was my first impression too! Figment looks like he's had the crap scared out of him. I'd want to run away from creepy-weird-beard Mickey too! However methinks this will be highly sought after because it is so freaking strange. :p

Mickey looks like a southern hick.

Figment looks terrified.

"Help! Help me! This isn't Dreamfinder!"

If they insist on Dreamfinder, show the original one, not mickey as such. POOHETY!

why the facial hair?? whyyyyy???? when Mickey dresses up as Uncle Sam at the American Adventure (or in patriotic media) he doesn't have a beard, why would he here?
i can't believe someone in marketing saw Mickey with his 70's mustache and perm and thought "that looks good!" and gave it the rubber stamp of approval. if he didn't have the hat, you could put him in knee-socks and skates and call him "roller-disco Mickey"

OMG that is just plain scary!!! Why would they market "Mickey as Dreamfinder" when Dreamfinder was removed from the park years ago? This is a sad day in WDW marketing, when they take a horrible looking version of micky to promote a character that has long been extinct.

I think this is their way of saying "You want him back? well this all your getting. Muhahahahahaha!!" :brick:

They didn't have a problem removing The Dreamfinder from the original JII and totally changing the ride for the worse, but somehow they feel it is a great idea to dress Mickey up as Dreamfinder and market this product.:fork:Not to mention that Mickey looks like garbage with facial hair:hurl:

I enjoyed meeting Figment and Dreamfinder as a child in the 80's and early 90's.

But it seems kids are so different today from just 15 years a go. And since he has been abscent for so long...Kids would approach the 1980's Dreamfinder and see him as the strange older man (with a puppet), who probably has a van (white with no windows) and gives candy to little children to come inside.

Dreamfinder is exactly how you would describe someone that you would tell your small children to never approach.

Now if they made him a lovable CGI character...I'm all about it!

Just trying to make my example...

I really don't think it's that big of an issue. . . kids would be much more receptive to Dreamfinder than Dr. Nigel Channing IMO.

i really, really don't like it. why dress up a our beloved mickey as our beloved dreamfinder that they took away?? i don't get it...and i don't think it works. sad. i'd much rather have a dreamfinder pin and/or stuffy. or better yet, have dreamfinder himself.
At least it isn't Stitch dressed like Mickey dressed like Dreamfinder... :animwink:

Ah, a reference to the quote made by Dumbledore in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets! Harry also brought it back up in Half-Blood Prince.
