That's a lot of (delicious :hungry: ) food for dinner, for two people.

When you cook, do you usually cook extra for a few meals, so that you only have to heat up dinner for a few nights?

Yes, I often grill or make extra to eat on for a few days. We will have grilled chicken sandwiches for lunch for a couple of days. I like leftovers just fine and like preparing extra for later. Although tonight I grilled burgers and only made three, no leftovers. 1.5 burgers each.
We have some friends who won't eat leftovers at all, which puzzles me.

I don't mind leftovers, as it's easy to just reheat a meal. Also, some meals actually taste better the second day, as there's more time for the flavors to all sort of "connect" with each other by the 2nd day. The only leftovers I would not eat would be anything with fish -- only like fish the first day it's cooked.

A good example of things better as leftovers, for me, is when I make a big ole pot of chili. It always seems better the next day or two later. Fresh is good, but something about those flavors blending makes it extra good.

I used to love shrimp just about any way it was served, but I think my favorite was either battered and fried or shrimp and grits. I got sick after eating at a seafood dive on a beach trip a couple of years ago, having shrimp and scallops and have not been able to try any seafood since. My wife thinks perhaps it was not the shrimp or scallops, but the tartar sauce, because she did not get sick at all and she did not have any of the tartar sauce. That is probably right, but still after two years I just can't face it again. I hope I get over that, as I used to love it.

Got a little too much char on tonight's bone-in thighs, but the rest of the meal was good, and the chicken under the charred skin was good, so it was not a total loss. Almost hesitant to even share a photo of the chicken fail, but I guess since it was edible I'll share the pic. My wife made the green beans, roasted sweet potatoes, coleslaw and crescent rolls, I charred the chicken.

Thank you for asking. Look at my photo in post # 616. It is tiny and members need to tap on it to enlarge it.
In the past, I was offered a way to insert it in a full version. That option seems to be gone?
Yet the post in 613 IS in the manner I've always been able to do. It seems MY phone doesn't like whatever you guys put in place this morning 😒
