Where in Texas are you? I sometimes have to travel to Dallas for work...would love to meet up!!

We live in central Texas, northeast of Austin. We’re about a 3-hour drive from Dallas, but only about a half-hour flight.
If you ever travel to Austin for work, we would definitely meet up with you, but Dallas is a bit out of the way…find an excuse for them to send you to Austin…!!!!!

We have a few part time people in Austin (we built the Longhorns video board) but there's little reason for HR lady to go there.

A bowl of leftover homemade chicken noodle soup I had for lunch today , and a coupla’ vegan macarons I picked up for Emmy and Audrey (granddaughters) from a boutique bakery place, after I dropped Matt (DS) off at work…those 2 little macarons totaled almost $10 , but Emmy and Audrey are definitely worth it…!!!!!
BTW…
They have been sick with flu lately, but Emmy was finally able to go back to school today.
Emmy didn’t really like the heart one last time (Audrey loved it), so I got her a cookies and cream one to try this time…!!!

Snowy day here so I whipped up some comfort food! Homemade Mac and Cheese with smoked turkey sausage (beef kielbasa for them) and steamed broccoli. It hit the spot and warmed us up.

And, my first plate of chopped broccoli casserole, stuffing/dressing, turkey, ham, a tamale, a small piece of pork loin, a tiny spoon full of squash casserole, corn casserole, mashed potatoes, smoked pork sausage and meatballs…!!!!!



Unfortunately (or not ), I forgot to take a pic of my second plate of a little more of the mains and sides, and a few small helpings of desserts…and no, I cannot eat like that anymore…!!!!!

Dinner at our local Casa Garcia’s last night…

And, in tribute to @trr1 ’s above post, Girl Scouts were selling cookies out in front of Casa Garcia’s…!!!!!!!
Our 2 daughters sold Girl Scout cookies for a combined decade. One year Sarah (youngest DD) sold just over 1,200 boxes, and Megan (oldest DD) sold just shy of 1,550…!!!
As a result, we buy Girl Scout cookies anywhere we go where a booth happens to be set up.
When Megan and Sarah started selling them they were $2.50/box, now they’re $6.00…!!!!!
But, Sarah still bought 3 boxes, and we bought a mixed case, 3 of which went to Emmy and Audrey (granddaughters)…!!!!!

Snack table with crackers, veggies, dips, humus, a cheese ball, deviled eggs and the salmon in the pan, that my next youngest bro made, was exceptionally good…!!!!!



Peel and eat shrimp on ice…!!!!!
