Napoleon Dynomyte....

I dont understand... I <3 that movie. In fact its my AV. It made me laugh till coke came outta my noise...

ANYWAY.. the WORST movie... hmmm...

It would have to be Elf. I despise that movie. There's nothing cute or funny about it. It makes me want to rip someones head off. Also, Spice World comes close even though I used to love to sing along to it. :)

I really liked Elf and I also agree with CEO that Napoleon Dynamite is the exact opposite of funny. I chuckled 3 or 4 times during the whole movie and that was it. It's on my top 10 list of worst movies of all time. Sorry.

Haha no problem... why are you apologizing? I realize a lot of people thought Napolean Dynamite was bad but prehaps my warped sense of humor helped me find it funny. I didn't stop laughing at all in the movie. In fact, I've seen it six times now.

And you liked Elf? I don't think I could sit through it again... I didn't laugh at ALL in that movie. Some christmas movie  I still like the Grinch better.

But hey, opposites attract. :animwink:

I enjoyed Elf as well. Not my favorite, mind you. But re-watchable.

I thought Napolean Dynamite was really funny (and highly quotable), but it was still insanely boring. I can't imagine sitting through it again. Something happen...PLEASE!!!

I can´t believe noone has mentionned "The Terminal": loooong, boring and unbelievable movie! The only reason I didn´t leave the theater was because I had no car that night and the mall was already closed so there was nothing to do outside of the theater. I absolutely hated it and even put me in a bad mood! It was also a huge commercial! Shame on you, Tom Hanks!

Another bad one was "The Mexican" with Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt - I only sat through it because it was Brad... *slurp*

Lisa, I enjoyed "About Schmidt" (sp?) It´s the one with Jack Nicholson, right? I laughed and teared with it. I thought it was very real and sweet - made my parents go see it. ;)

I think this thread will be obsolute once "Son of the Mask" opens up. That is if anyone actually has the guts to see it. Who greenlights this stuff?
If nothing else opens that weekend.

Or I get REALLY drunk.

IT!

The worst movie I have ever seen!!! And if you ask me 50 yrs from now I will probably say the same!!! I mean that was the biggest collasal (sp) waste of time ever!!! I actually felt that i got kicked in the junk for just wasting 2 hours of my life to watch that movie!!!

I agree with you on this one!! Stephen King is my favorite author and I think they were NOT able to covert this book into a good film.

I shudder to think what filmmakers will do to the Dark Tower.

Well part of it may have been that I know a guy that is sort of like Napolean in real life and it sort of seemed like I had seen that routine before. So that might have had something to do with it. I thought the movie should have been about the martial arts guy anyways

And yeah I really liked Elf alot (Except the ending). I love Ferrell in just about anything and I thought this character fit him perfectly. My favorite part was when he first got hit by the Taxi in NYC. That was perfect.

I think Constantine will be great. Trailer looks fantastic and the word already going around seems to be positive.

Napoleon Dynamite was definitely a fantastic film.... :)

It's just one of those "love it or hate it" films. A lot of people say it's the best film ever made (it's great, however I wouldn't take it that far), but then some say it's "pretty much the worst video ever made." ;)

I honestly loved The Terminal and think it's an amazing film. Now, Tom Hanks is one of my role models and inspired me to get into acting, so I love all of his work. I was about to watch this movie yesterday because I really like it.

To each his own I guess.

Only until the critics say its good, then will I see it. Last time I ignored the critics I experienced the disaster that was Troy.

I enjoyed it as well. Tom Hanks was fantastic and the story was good. One of the best of 2004, IMO.

Dude, you can't listen to the critics....they always give good movies bad reviews (a recent example would be Meet the Fockers).

I guess I didn´t like it because I don´t like Science Fiction... hehe
Specially after September 11 who was going to believe such a storyline? ;)

I never rely on the critic from my local newspaper for reviews of movies. Movies that really suck he likes and movies that are really good he hates. He thought Finding Nemo sucked and look how good it was. I was worried when I saw that he actually liked Pirates of the Caribbean because I thought since he liked it, it would suck. I love love love that movie! (johnny depp :slurp: )

My local news critic is horrible. He simply says, "its sucked, the plot is about ( ect. ), overall I hated this movie. His reviews just aren't helpful at all. I never rely on him. I mostly listen to the tomato meter.

Well...imagineer boy, I say Constantine on Tuesday.

Not a bad film, not a great one either. If you like the comics and that type of storyline, you'll enjoy it. Above all, it kept me entertained. I guess that's what counts, right?
