The Worst Disney World Ride

WS is about the Disney version of countries.

Therefore France shows the Eiffel Tower, not a nuclear power plant. We have got a mediaeval castle in Germany, and not 1960s social housing. The UK features a Beatles lookalike band, not a football hooligans re-enactment.

Oil is fine for Norway, but it receives too much focus in the ride. It is boring, only interesting for the sponsors. It is a self-congratulatory exercise in pointless sponsorship.
'Impressions de France' too would be a snorefest if it were a twenty minute movie about the wonders of French nuclear energy.

Oil is one of Norways major industries and fundemental in delivering the lifestyle of modern Norway, it would be odd not to give it prominence.

Well there's always the Vikings....rape and pillage is always a good Disney virtue.

How about more of a troll theme? Nothing like scaring the kiddies to death.

so....Oil it is.

I guess I don't see how that transition from myth to contemporary reality is boring. I think the oil rig scene is fantastic. To each their own.

Yet Disney doesnt put big loud badly dressed moronic yanks in its sanitised pc correct potted history (ha ha) US pavilion, probably figures there's enough in the theatre as it is.

In the world showcase when you visit Germany you find a group of happy lederhosen wearing bell ringers who never heard of the Third Reich. (Similar to when you actually visit Germany, but I digress.)

There is never a mention of the Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere in Japan, and of course not a hint of the 200 years of “missionary work” (i.e. exploitation and enslavement) Great Britain conducted in Africa, Asia, Australia, the Americas and last but not lease the sub-continent of India.

Let’s face it, we’re all hypocrites, My dear wife would quote a teacher who lived about two thousand years ago and say “let he without sin cast the first stone.”

Can we now please return to complaining about stitch and sounds dangerous?

For me i guess it would be Stich's Great Escape. Sorry i really think they could haved done alot better. But that attraction is so limited.... My wife does not like CoP. I was like.... What??? That is a classic.. She said it was boring and a waste of time for her. I love her but i love that ride.

Flights of Wonder. Those birds think they're so special.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :ROFLOL:

:D Flights of Wonder is amazing.

I think this thread may be pretty monotonous - Stitch .......Sounds Dangerous .......Stitch ............Sounds Dangerous ............Stitch ...........Sounds Dangerous ............

Very true. Just to reiterate what I said on a previous thread, my vote's for Stitch. Would rather see the old Alien ride or something totally different.

What!? It may not be the most exciting ride, but if you're a lover of all things Disney, there are two attractions that you have to at least like no matter how crappy they would be if they were independent of a Disney Park: Carousel of Progress and it's a small world. Plus, with CoP, it's always nice to be able to take a short break from the heat...just saying.

Blink, blink. Breathe, breathe. Day in, day out.
My top 10 least favorite attractions:

1. Sounds Dangerous
2. Journey Into Imagination with Figment
3. Stitch's Great Mistake
4. Backlot Studios
5. The Enchanted Tiki Room Under New Managemnt (hope!)
6. Conservation Station
7. Circle of Life: An Environmental Tale
8. Tomorrowland Indy Speedway
9. Maelstrom
10. The Making of Me

after #5 (okay... 6) I really don't mind the ones listed below them..

(sigh) Yet another highly-unnecessary thread contaminating this forum.

There are already PLENTY of highly-nihilistic threads like this on this forum!

Anyway, I strongly disagree with most of the opinions presented in this thread so far. I highly-appreciate Stitch, Tiki Room, Nemo and most of the others.

I agree with some, others not.

Overall, I was saddened with what they did to the old Rio Del Tiempo in Mexico! the essentially took a ride that explained Mexico's rich history and made it a never ending chase scene for Donald Duck as he passes through one fiesta after another.

I like the original Tiki Room. I'm not saying change is bad, but the change they chose was bad. I would like to see the original tropical serenade updated with more recent Hawaiian music (Isreal Ku......, can't remember his name, the one that did the ukulele version of Over the Rainbow).

I agree, Narnia was a shocker. Like others, I thought we were in the pre-show, and when the doors opened and we were ushered out into the open I was surprised, to say the least.

But the winner is:
DME back to MCO. That has such a sad exit.

Swiss Family Tree House is my least favorite.
Awww, I love the tree house! I am glad they are leaving this one as a tribute to the "Swiss Family Robinson" movie, which I loved as a kid, and not doing it up like Tarzan's treehouse like they did in Disneyland (right? I can't remember).

Israel Kamakawiwo'ole

My least favorite is Pirates. It is boring, highly overrated, and the AA figures just look like moving mannequins.

Me to, the treehouse is so classic and fits into AL theming so well and it's a salute to one of few live-action films that were made under Walt. The treehouse better not go Tarzan I would be so ed.
