The World's Most Magical Celebration - Walt Disney World's 50th anniversary

CMs are being advised to continue wearing their 50th anniversary nametags beyond the celebration's final day today.

As I understand it, there is ongoing deliberation about the next series of nametags possibly including the CM's pronouns. Whether or not that ends up happening remains to be seen, but they're going to have to do a huge production run regardless since many CMs misplaced their "Where Dreams Come True" version, or don't have one at all since they were hired during the 50th celebration, so at least for now, the 50th anniversary nametags will stick around.

I would expect the next series of nametags to be ends up like this.

Since The Walt Disney Company 100th anniversary was celebrate company-wide, including theme parks worldwide with its own way, there's possibility for CM outside Disneyland to wear this special nametag.

It would be appropriate, yes, but I don't believe these nametags are being considered for WDW.

I think sadly we have seen the last of any milestones celebration at Walt Disney World. Clearly they will say that guests just didn't appreciate the milestone celebration.

TDO : we learned from our 50th celebration that The Walt Disney World guest is different than Disneyland Paris or Disneyland. And so Walt Disney World will no longer celebrate milestones.

In truth, if it wasn't so halfheartedly done it may have been more successful. But now it'll be a self-fulfilling prophecy and the smart money says we will never see a major milestone celebration at the Walt Disney World resort until There is a complete changing of the guard. Or 21 years after the last descendant of King Charles has passed away. Whichever comes first 🙂

Having experienced the fantastic Disneyland Paris 30th Celebrations and Disney Worlds atrocious 50th, the contrast in approach was staggering.

I think it’s because Disney is not a right of passage in Europe, so they have to make genuine effort to attract guests, whereas in Florida, they’ve been drip feeding a Moana walk through for years providing bi-weekly updates and people lap it up.
Not to mention Tokyo Disneyland's 40th Anniversary Celebration ("Dream-Go-Round") is only a two weeks away. Which is really going to curb stomp Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration alongside Disneyland Paris' 30th Celebration which just concluded.

I'm picturing Disneyland Paris and Tokyo Disney Resort treating WDW's 50th like this.

Great news for the 50th anniversary fan!

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – April 1, 2023The Walt Disney World Resort 50th anniversary celebration, The World's Most Magical Celebration, has delighted guests for nearly 18 months with special experiences such as Beacons of Magic, new attractions including Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Remy's Ratatouille Adventure, and delightful nighttime spectaculars including HarmoniUS at EPCOT, and Disney Enchantment, Presented by Pandora Jewelry, at Magic Kingdom Park.

In response to the overwhelmingly positive feedback from park guests, Walt Disney World Resort has extended the wonder of The World's Most Magical Celebration for an additional three months! During this exciting extension of the celebration, guests will continue to enjoy favorites such as the Disney Fab 50 Collection, and even exciting new experiences such as TRON Lightcyle/Run at Magic Kingdom Park, and returning nighttime spectaculars Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom Park, and EPCOT Forever at EPCOT. Fans of April-related humor will enjoy sensational new entertainment at Disney's Hollywood Studios with a special enhancement at MuppetVision 3D, featuring for the first time ever a 'Salute to all anniversaries, but mostly the 50th.' At Disney's Animal Kingdom, the magic of nature will come to life with a limited-time parade winding its way through the narrow and crowded paths and trails of the park, featuring beloved characters from the Disney classic: Treasure Planet.

This is just a small sampling of all the magic that awaits guests at Walt Disney World Resort, and we can't wait to continue to share in all the EARidescent magic of The World's Most Magical Celebration, now through June 30th!

Seems like poor planning that they didn’t have new name tags made and ready by now.
