The "What Would I Put There?" Thread

Ok, here's how this works:

First, you think of a section of WDW that you would like to see an attraction built, then you state what you would like to see spring up in that location and have everyone else comment on your idea, as well as come up with their own.

Here's my idea for expanding Fantasyland/Tomorrowland at MK:

Location: Mickey's Toontown Fair (Entire Land)

Idea: Since MK's smallest land really doesn't have anything drawing in crowds except for Mickey's house, why not split the land up and expand both Tomorrowland and Fantasyland? My suggestion would be to cut the land in half with each of the two other lands recieving half of the land. As far as what would go in each new section, it makes a lot of sence to re-arrange the Fantasyland section in order to move Mickey's House into an easier to access area. As for the rest of the land, I'd like to see them build that Seven Dwarves Mine Kart roller coaster that has been rumored. As for the tomorrowland section, Maybe a relocating of a resturaunt (Cosmic Rays) would be the best idea. Other than that, maybe the building of a simulator ride based on Wall-E would be a nice addition.

Location: Stitch's Great Escape

Idea: This spot in tomorrowland has been nothing but trouble. Nothing of real value has ever been located in this location with the best of the duds being Alien Encounter. If my plan to get rid of Toontown Fair happened, then maybe relocate Cosmic Rays or build another resturaunt in that area in order to expand the SGE building. Then, I would convert it as well as the resturaunt behind it into a dark ride based on Meet The Robinsons. That film was one of the most classic Disney like animated movies I've seen in a long time is practically taylor made for Tomorrowland. The other movie I'd like to see somehow fit in is Treasure Planet, but since that was a box office dud, I don't think that will happen...

Location: Former Skyway Tomorrowland Station

Idea: Here's one of those spots that has been dormant for a long time. The first thing that comes to mind as far as a replacement idea would be a resturaunt with a space deck outdoor eating area. If that doesn't work, I'd at least put a gift shop there or something...

Location: Former 20,000 Leagues Lagoon

Idea: I'm going with the idea that is strongly rumored to be true, which is building a clone of DCA's Little Mermaid E-ticket dark ride. That would make perfect sence and the entrence could go into what is currently Arel's Grotto. I'm sure there is room behind the Pooh playground to build this.

Location: Snow White's Scary Adventures

Idea: Here's another idea that has been rumored. If the mine kart ride is built in my proposed Fantasyland/Tomorrowland expansion, why not replace the Snow White dark ride with a Beauty and the Beast one? That film is one of the best, if not the best, that Disney has ever done and yet it's only real presence at WDW is the stage show at DHS. A dark ride in Fantasyland would be a perfect fit.

Location: Former Skyway Fantasyland Station

Idea: At least from the outside this plot of land looks like a decent size. I'd say the quick thing to do here would be a hevily themed resturaunt, but if the plot is big enough, why not build a new dark ride there, perhaps based on a newer Disney classic such as Enchanted?

Location: Swiss Family Robinson Treehouse

Idea: I'd love to see this kind of pointless walk through attraction done away with completely and replaced with something much cooler, like the Indiana Jones Adventure from DL, but seeing as that plot of land probably isn't nearly big enough, why not at least convert it to Tarzan's Treehouse like at DL?

So there you have some ideas for MK. Why not post some of your own?

Space Mountain area

I would expand the old skyway station and take out carousel of progress and relocate it. The building will be beyond the park perimeter about the same distance as space mountain and make a large show building for Horizons to return. Not as large as the original but make it large enough to bring back the glory.

Then I would take Stitch out and put in Alien Encounter again and expand the cosmin ray into the old Toontown (since it's so small). Here i would put the carousel of progress and move cosmic rays and star traders into Toon Town.

Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring THE LEGENDS

I would keep the same building in DHS but expand the record building for a longer and cooler indoor queue. Also the shop will be renamed Legends Live! Here's what I plan to do:

Queue- After passing a small out door queue the indoor one is the largest. You pass by various props from Music history. Then pass by recording studios m k y. This where the bands are laying down the tracks. After that you see various posters with gold records of certain rock groups. Then you make your way to a 3 lane for fork. You chose which lane. Each has a heading with band logo and poster of them. Aerosmith, KISS, and Guns N Roses are the bands. Each line enters a the pre show room at a different time since yur going to the same load zone but the car you have is programmed to that band.

Pre Show- Each is very similar. Aerosmith does the same like at DHS but they want you to help them with a music video. Same with KISS and Guns N Roses. The Pre show and load into zone follow suit, Aersmith empties first, after Aerosmith, KISS, Then Guns N Roses. Each room will hold 48 people since the trains hold 24. So the load will be quick.

Loading- After your pre show you board you soundtrackker with the respective band. Cast members will always know what band your with so they'll have speils like, "Aerosmith is waiting," or "KISS is ready to rock.

Ride after boarding you make a left and the producer reminds you to hang on and rock out. Then either Steven Tyler, Paul Stanley (KISS), or Axl Rose (Guns N Roses) will countdown then you will launch 0-70 in 4 seconds through vaious twist turns and 5 inversions (loop, cobra roll, corkscrew, zero g roll). Depending on your band you will see imgaes projected all over the soundstage of the badn preforming along with lighting based on band colors (black and white for KISS, red and yellow for Aerosmith, and Gray and red for Guns N Roses). After your done the badn thanks you and you can buy the music video which is actually you being taped along with in cut footage of the band preforming. The songs are for Aerosmith, Walk This Way. KISS, I want to rock n' roll all night. Guns N Roses, Welcome to the Jungle.

Gift Shop
The gift shop is where you purchase various apparel based on the band along with the video. It's called Legends Live!

Any ?'s please ask all comments welcome!

Old Skyway Fantasyland Area/Building:

The area has remained rather vacant aside from the landscaping and station at the top of the hill for a while now. I would love to see a small darkride appear in that area but because of HM's showbuilding directly behind it that could be a problem...

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&sou...582587&spn=0.001052,0.002414&t=h&z=19&iwloc=B

...therefore a Peter Pan shop or any type of shop could work in a situation like this.

Old Skyway Tomorrowland building:

A "Space Port counter service restaurant could work. Maybe even moving the dead one they have on the Main Street/ Tomorrowland bridge.

Epcot:

Refreshment Port Area between China and Germany:

This area was once planned as Equatorial Africa. but I think something that would be even better is Venezuela. I can just imagine walking into the country and seeing a big waterfall made into a rock. (Think Canada) But would be even cooler is that there's a restaurant made into the rock. At night the water changes colors.

Journey Into Imagination With Figment:

The ride would go back to ways with Dreamfinder and Figment. This ride would be much like the original but just updated to be a little more futuristic. (It is Future World after all...)

Disney's Hollywood Studios:

Pizza Planet:

Since all Pixar things are supposed to go to a different place now. I thought we should clear Pizza Planet and Muppet's shop for a new attraction The Great Muppet Ride. This ride would be sort of like the Great Movie Ride except the Muppets are putting on the show for you. This ride would be great for kids and has all sorts of GMR puns.

Animal Kingdom:

Camp Minnie-Mickey (CMM)

While this land was once supposed to be turned into a great land called Beastly Kingdomme. CM's have made it pretty obvious that it's not in the plans right now. (But hey what do they know?) But in case it truly isn't I think they should go with Australia. There is many possibilities for this land. Kangaroos, Koalas, Tazmanian Devils and maybe even a boomerang ride!

Rafiki's Planet Watch:

I think this area could be turned into a North or South America Area. There's is also tuns of possibilities for this land as well. If we went North America then there could be Grizzlies, Florida Panthers and maybe even a Bald Eagle! In South America there could be tree frogs, snakes Leopards and many other Rainforest animals.

Magic Kingdom:

Fantasyland: It seems to me that Fantasyland has a TON of room to expand and grow if you were to push back the maintence areas. For example, if you were to leave Ariel's Grotto where it is currently (maybe expand it a little, spruce it up, and add the Little Mermaid darkride) you could have your own Little Mermaid mini-land.

I'd also like to see a 3D circlevision film themed to the Disney Faries.

Frontierland:
Country Bear Jamboree-> Woody's Round-Up.
It'd be the same kind of show, but using Woody and the Gang rather than the bears...

Tom Sawyer's Island-> Louisiana Bayou
The island would be expanded just a tad, and themed to the Princess and the Frog. This would mean the River would have to be expanded as well. Included on the island is a restraunt where guests will be entertained by animatronic animals from the movie singing Cajun Folk Songs.

Tomorrowland:
Stitch's Great Escape-> New Stitch Darkride with the same name.
Basically, it's the same thing but with the cute lovable Stitch. If there's enough room, it'd be neat to have this be a family coaster.
The showbuilding would be expanded to include portions of the CM parking that's behind the building and the TL Terrace, which will reopen on much smaller scale.

Galaxy Theatre and COP-> Marc Davis style 2055 attraction
I don't have a story or anything worked out yet, but I would love to see some Marc Davis humor in TL. Sort of a Jetsons meets Star Wars kind of thing. A brand new show building would be built to house this attraction.

Epcot:

Future World:
Innoventions-> Bring back "Epcot's Main Street". Get rid of the ugly colors that clash with eachother.

In one of the buildings, move the COP here, but update rather than show what the future's going to be like, show what Walt wanted the future to be. in the last scene, show the original EPCOT City model and the video of Walt explaining his dream. Then have the guests exit to "One Man's Dream: EPCOT", a more in depth explanation of EPCOT using models and pictures the way OMD in MGM does it.

Ellen's Energy Adventure-> Universe of Energy
The ride wouldn't change that much. I think it'd be cool if WDFA made a movie for this attraction. I think it'd be neat to follow around some animated people as they learn about energy. I'm thinking it'd be like the old Goofy "How To" cartoons...

TT
Give it the Future World meaning. I'm not sure how to go about doing that, but right now it just doesn't belong in Epcot...

JII-> Bring back Dreamfinder and the message of the original ride. Move Imageworks back upstairs, and make a brand new movie for the Magic Eye Theatre.

The Showroom after the ride does have some vehicles of the future in it...

If you take that into account, what about Nemo? Test Track fits the theme of Future World better than Nemo...
