The Walt Disney Company brands, franchises, and offerings survey, including The Simpsons

Can, but Disney is not willing to invest in the switching, so the concept is DOA.
That's also why I doubted the 'Black Box' rumors when those started popping up.

Yeah, if it was rumored for DLR, I'd buy it because Disney gets more crazy with overlays there, but in WDW? No way. Disney would never green light an attraction where the main appeal was 'we can swap it out for different things' for Florida.

I expect: something regarding Simpsons will pop up in DHS in the decade following Simpsons leaving USF, I don't expect a full land at this rate (Disney doesn't give that much attention to TV Shows EVER), but I can fully expect a Krusty Burger, meet and greet and gift shop apart of something greater.

Nice. Thatā€™s all I really want, a small Simpsons area. What i Picture is a muppets courtyard like area. I can get behind that. Though, if they donā€™t sell duff beer or donuts/have a moes tavern, theyā€™ve lost tue plot.

Because it shows Disney has no understanding of not only the IP but the fanbase of the property they acquired.

All you have to do it look at how they've stewarded major franchises they've purchased and you can clearly see that leadership does not know what they're doing.

The same leadership tje when you log into Disney Plus you see Night b word on the same page under the Disney name vs a different Hulu page.

There are settings in The Simpsons, namely their house, that Universal didnā€™t touch. I think that would be a great thing to put up as a meet and greet area, which I think is the most realistic thing they would do in WDW. If they were to make a ride, thereā€™s tremendous potential to surpass a simulator that would be dated even if it were still firing on all cylinders and a spinner. Itā€™ll never happen, but a dark ride could be fantastic.
Both of those are stuff that Universal is more than capable of doing (and easily could've done back in 2007 if they didn't settle on just reskinning Back to the Future). There's no guarantee that whatever Disney would do would top what's currently at Universal (especially now)

I could go on, but this sums up my thoughts near-exactly:
You think Universal missed out on a meet and greet in The Simpsons House...

to your other thoughts, it was a way to include those places and great references without having to dedicate their own building and set for each.

The same way Toontown is scaled down to include all the buildings, some functional and some not.
Don't act like this is a Universal thing as Disney has done this plenty of times.
amalgamation is common in theme parks.

Look at what they chose to be represented and shoehorned into Avengers Campus.

And you don't want a true match in theme parks for many reasons. It is a unique medium.

Our family enjoys The Simpsons and would love to have a place at Disney for visiting "Springfield." I think retheming Sunset Blvd would be fun having Moe's Tavern, Krusty Burger, Lard Lad's Donuts, Kwik e Mart and retheme RnRC (scrap Muppets Plan) to "Otto's Wild Bus Ride." So much merchandising to be had.

Nothing against you because everyone has their tastes, but retheming Sunset Blvd to Springfield would make me want to cry lol.

No way that happens, they'd need to do way too much to expand buildings and such. If not a full land, I wonder about something like Baseline Taphouse getting a Moe's Tavern retheme. That gets them in the park, and eliminates a non-IP place (two things Bob would love).

That was also once a Universal idea. Ha.

But Harry Shearer has not gotten easier to collaborate with on The Simpsons, so 1/4th of the characters are already off the table. This is the reason Universal has Krustyland and not a tour through the powerplant.

Hollywood Studios have to completely rebrand if that happened. I'll never say it will never happen, but I'd estimate that at a 1% chance of coming to fruition. Now Animation Courtyard however....
DHS has already rebranded, they're just going for such a broad theme that the old elements can still fit in. Sunset Boulevard could be leveled completely and it would have no effect on the park's overarching theme. Really, Aerosmith is one of the few things left that fits into the Studio theme and that's already going.

DHS still has a theme?

Not to mention how awesome ToT would fit in as the weenie looming over it all in the distance! šŸ˜‰

I'm talking about completely changing the name of the park and moving away from anything "Hollywood".
