Do yourself a favor and go read Tom Bricker’s commentary on this. It’s absolutely masterful.
That's tough, none of his articles have dates on them.

Difference between ousting Eisner and Iger is no one has the balls to try replace Iger. Thanks to Roy Disney and Stanley Gold and the disgruntled shareholders , Eisner resigned because of their efforts to get rid of him.I think the only person who comes out this with any respect is Eisner, the way he left and his actions since have been far classier than either of the Bobs
Reading the CNBC article its obvious that Bob I had no intention of actually leaving. Not even moving out of the CEO office because you need a shower is a bit of a pathetic excuse to cling on IMO. Perhaps he thought he could pull a Putin and have Bob C as notional CEO while he carried on in the background but things went wrong when Bob C realised he was the patsy and rried to shore up his position
Its also interesting that Bob C was the one who wanted to spin off the linear TV stuff so changing heads might not have changed the plan as much as people thought overall.
my overall take from this - Iger is a hubristic narcissist who doesn't like not being top dog. Chapek was the dupe and never really given a chance and the board have little to no independence and aren’t fit for purpose
It’s the one with the hippos. Lots and lots of hippos. That's tough, none of his articles have dates on them.
Translated…Have you not been paying attention to what all has happened and how this has played out? (regardless of any article or what I’ve been saying) it’s become pretty obvious at this point

The article did not fully paint how horrible Chapek was at public relations. Not just the Scarlett J mess, but the stepping your foot in culture wars with the Gov of Florida. That mess is still ongoing with no end in site. The key thing that was the final nail in the coffin is when he tried to shift much of the expenses of Disney+ to other segments so as to try and soften just how bad Disney+ was performing. This was what caused McCarthy to go to the board and state she no longer had confidence Chapek's leadership.I think the only person who comes out this with any respect is Eisner, the way he left and his actions since have been far classier than either of the Bobs

This drop is so steep today you have to be taller than 42” to look at the next DIS prospectus
We're going to need a link to that. I can't seem to find it on the site.Do yourself a favor and go read Tom Bricker’s commentary on this. It’s absolutely masterful.
There is only one reality though. The one that is obvious to those who choose to look at everything going on
"the truth is out there..."There is only one reality though. The one that is obvious to those who choose to look at everything going on

"do your own research..."
You're like bot at this point... just spitting out common conspiracy tropes.
I struggle to feel bad for anyone that made $50+ million for a couple years of work. He was probably a scapegoat but he was paid handsomely for it.The CNBC piece is a fantastic and *very* revealing. I’m no fan of Chapek and the direction he’d have taken Disney, but it’s hard not to feel for the guy. Iger (perhaps unintentionally?) set him up to fail from the start.
Always liked Tom Bricker's spin on things, and this post was typical Bricker. Here's that link.
