I have no idea who those last 2 lines could possibly refer to... :angelic:

Every streamer... other than old media execs, including Netflix?

The actual Netflix quote in question is: "The challenge for so many of our competitors is that while they are investing heavily in premium content, it's generating relatively small view on their streaming services."

That's definitely how they differentiate. Netflix is about cheaper volume and it works for them. But the ecosystem cannot handle 10 streamers volume focused.

This is nothing, Skydance is run by an Oracle heir and since they're merging with Paramount and said heir mentioned in interviews that they plan to use some expertise from Oracle, its a conflict of interest.

Kiliar is one of the few realistic outside candidates for CEO (specifically if you wanted someone with experience running a film studio, the other one that would be fitting is Donna Langley and she's busy running Universal). It's the reason I think that D'Amaro has little chance at the CEO position, the parks are the main moneymaker, but Chapek also made the line go up and he ran into PR disaster after PR disaster.

Too bad there isnt a Disney Heir thats not a bit NUTS!!! Maybe someone with some actuall LOVE of the company and the parks could make a small difference or something. Its just very sad to me to see how its all falling down in front of our eyes. I know its been a slow motion decline but it just seems to me, like its now an avalanche of things and they cant even keep the basics up (at the parks). With the Movies..... thats just another Kettle of Fish.

Today's drop was apparently on the coattails of Universal's attendance woes for Q2. The expectation is Disney will report similar declines in Florida for Q2.

Make sure to take a healthy, yet safe, dose of Dramamine prior to Disney's quarterly meeting on the morning of August 7.

Iger with his showmanship will probably explain and showcase other company positives rinse and repeat to maintain his continued partnership with Wall Street.

I noted that Disney’s Q2 Experiences earnings were much, much better than Comcast’s Q1 theme park earnings. (Disney’s Q2 aligns with Comcast’s Q1.) In Comcast’s Q1 they reported theme park revenue growth of 1.5% (vs 10% for Disney‘s Experiences division) and operating income growth of -3.9% (vs 12% for Disney’s Experiences division). So, in the last quarter Comcast’s theme park operating income shrank by nearly 4% whereas Disney grew by 12%.

Disney provided guidance, that they reiterated in mid-May, that they expected Experiences to be roughly flat YoY in Q3. They also said they expected Q4 Experiences to improve significantly over Q3.

I don't think you understand how corporations work.

Attendance woes? No way. Parks are crowded. Also they raised prices to lower attendance. Maybe both. All a part of the plan. Everything is fine. Disney is so magical nothing they ever do is wrong.

Am I doing this right?
