I am VERY excited about htis movie, but I hope it's more Sixth Sense and less Signs. I kinda thought Signs was silly. :lookaroun The other one, which I can't recall the name of at the moment, I never saw. With Bruce Willis?

You are referring to "Unbreakable"

The film was incredibly artistic. Definitely worth a watch...truly Shyamalan.

However, it tends to drag at points and the climax comes a little too quickly. Nevertheless, a great movie.

I suggest that everyone out there pick up M. Night Shyamalan's first big studio picture: Wide Awake.

It's VERY different than his other three suspense movies, but still a ton of fun to watch.

SPOILER ALERT!!!

This movie takes place in the spot that Downtown Disney now resides...A long time ago the marketplace was surrounded by...well...nothing and they called it "The Village." Evil beings (Eisner and Co.) came in and tried to make this "village" convert into something more...

LOL!

I loved "Signs" even though it really freaked me out since I live near where the movie was to have taken place. Literally, I can drive just a few miles from my house and see the farmland setting that the movie took place on! Really creepy! Hopefully I'll get to see this movie...I really want to!

I really can't wait to see this! It looks really scary. The Sixth Sence was creepy and Signs was very suspensful and I loved both of those movies. This movie should be very good.

I know what you mean . . . we lived for a long time out in the woods, and every time I see a village commercial I think, gee, glad we don't live out there anymore, i wouldn't be able to sleep.

Can't wait!

As of right now, Shyamalan's name is equated with gold. He could put his name in front of almost any movie title, and it would generate serious buzz.

Picture this: M. Night Shyamalan's "The Dust Pan."

...It's got a certain charm, don't you all think?;)

You'll need a twist for the end of the movie. Maybe the Dust Pan is in conspiracy with the dirt to take over the world   :p . That's not really a twist now is it.

Did anyone watch Sci-Fi channel's "Secrets of M. Knight Shyamalan"?

I watched the first hour...by the time I realized the thing was a Mocumentary, I kinda just gave up.

Nice publicity stunt if you ask me.

I saw something on MSN how "The Village" is a more powerful commentary on post 9/11 America than Moore's film (Isolationism). Interesting read. I still plan on seeing the movie, I just can't decide if it is "BIG Screen" worthy.

I thought the documentary was pretty entertaining. I thought it was real up until the point where the teenage boys were in front of Night's house.
When I saw the title "Buried Secrets" I thought it was about how he worked his actors to death :hammer:. Oh well

I still plan on watching the movie tomorrow and then afterwards go to Disneyland to forget about it  . I'm terrible at watching scary movies.

I used to want to see it.

Then I read the NYPost review and they said the script spends too much time "preaching" a political agenda for it to be taken seriously. They said it's a parallel to current events, as seen by M. Night.

I don't want to see it anymore.

Too bad.

A friend of mine went to the preview last night and she didn't have anything to say about it being "preachy."

I'm going this weekend, and absolutely can't wait.

I went and saw two films today: The Bourne Supremacy (which was great) and The Village. Actually, I wasn't planning on seeing The Village today, my original plan was to see The Bourne Supremacy and Thunderbirds.

I saw a 1:55 showing. First off, I'd like to say that it was shown in one of the biggest theaters at the Muvico I go to, and it was almost sold out. And this is on a Friday afternoon.

Now, about the movie.....

It was strange, actually a little too strange, but still good. I enjoyed Signs more though. You never know what's going to happen next. I even jumped up in my seat during a few parts! Bryce Dallas Howard did an fabulous job, as did Joaquin Phoenix (who was also in Signs, and is the voice of Kenai in Brother Bear) and William Hurt. But I must say, the ending was, well, surprising....

It is definitely worth seeing. :)

I saw it today. I think today was the first time I saw a movie on opening day. I enjoyed the film. If you enjoyed the suspense that Signs had, you should go see it. The romance and the mystery were very entertaining. As usual, there's the twisted ending. Twisted, but good.
