The Ultimate Resort Perk!

Good Day Disney People.. We all know ( or should ) about the various perks about staying on site,but what would say is the most important one.? I love the extra early hours and the fact you can send your shopping back to your resort,but what is your favourite perk.?

The Disney magical Express is a HUGE perk for me. I don't have to drive or worry about parking, will the car be safe etc.

For me it is free parking. I don't like the idea of paying $126 - $140 per trip just to park.

We got upgraded to concierge this past summer at the Polynesian. There is no better perk, especially if you are not paying for it.

EMH... Transportation..... Convince..... Location...being surrounded by the magic..... All are very important to me!

I thought about this one for a few. And, really, the only "perk" that is worth it to me (and by worth it I mean pocket-gouging) is the super immersion. I toyed with the idea of staying offsite this next trip (at Grand Cypress, much nicer and MUCH cheaper), but at the end of the day, I LOVE being surrounded by Disney for a week! The free parking, EMH, DDP, (yes we do DDP), are all just "perks" to THE perk!

While you pay a premium for it...picking a deluxe that's in close proximity to your favorite park You have to figure that you'll spend the most time at your favorite park (at least that's how it works for us), so being able to just pick up and get to said fave park with such ease and so little time is awesome!

I love the whole Disney bubble. Complete immersion!!! No driving is a major bonus! I love sending packages back to the resort, too! It really makes everything simple and relaxing!!

Least important is extra magic hours...we always avoid the park that has EMH that day. I think for us the best perk is location. At SSR last Sept. we walked to DTD every day. It was great. At BW and BC walking to Epcot is the best. At WL, the quick boat launch is wonderful. At OKW, the boat ride to DTD is wonderful. Yes, for us it is location, location, location. We do off site as well, so while we have stayed at some incredible places off site, they just don't have the location, but since we drive it is really no big deal.

Grand Cypress is incredible, with an amazing pool complex and good location. An upper floor room also has amazing views.

It is all important, but I like ability to wake up, get dressed and be at my park or dining reservation in minutes! No parking, no traffic, no having to go through drive thrus or gas stations to pick up a quick bite before we get to the park.

2. EMHs- Who doesn't want more time in the parks?
3. Free Parking- Pay for parking? No thanks.
4. Transportation- Ah, the joys of being dropped off at the gates.
5. Dining options at resort- Don't have to drive somewhere for food, that's a win.
6. Everything else- There's always more at Disney World.

I love everything about staying on-site, but especially the transportation (ME and park buses) and the immersion aspect, the magic bubble for a whole two weeks.

Evening Extra Magic Hours for us and since we stay at Shades of Green it all about location, transportation and escaping the crazy back at our resort.

Still kept me from dragging luggage around the park I had to purchase at DHS because the airlines destroyed ours and wouldn't make it home.

For me the biggest perk is being on Disney property and staying in a Disney resort - doesn't matter which one! It's part of the magic...a huge part. The welcoming cast members, the Disney decor', the fact that you are ON Disney property and projected into a total "Happy Place" for the duration of your stay...THAT is my main perk. Being on and at Disney means no worries about the outside world...as in work or problems. It's the one place in the world where I totally detach from reality (let's face it...it's the truth LOL) and submerse myself in to my Happy Place! I don't think about work and what I should be doing..I live for the moment and go for it! No matter if it's hugging Mickey or Minnie...enjoying a dole whip...watching a show or enjoying a character dinner. I've been known to stalk Jack Sparrow (hey what can i say! lol ) No better thing in the world (except my daughter of course! )

WOW.. I never have gotten an upgrade, but so far I have always gotten either the section I asked for and a pretty good room too.. only at AKL was the room pretty bad for what I needed..

I think the best perk for staying onsite its the transportation options. Whether you bring your own vehicle, rent a car, rely solely on disney transportation, ability to use DME from and to the airport, and the free parking (as opposed to Dolphin/Swan who charges) onsite if you do have a vehicle.. I think that is a very impressive perk for staying onsite versus offsite. The second best perk is EMH. LOVE EMH...I hope they never cut back on EMH.
