The Ultimate Disney Classics VIP Tour now available at the Magic Kingdom

I wouldn't call the first three you listed 'classics' though. And the coasters all have height restrictions (even though I would put all 3 mountains into the 'classic' category).

There's also Enchanted Tales with Belle. While the set up is pretty new, the concept has been going on since the 90s (formerly known as 'Storytime with Belle').

I was just referring to what was left in the Rides in MK...

Actually, I suppose you might have been referencing the guided VIP tour that is more of a whole park thing instead of a backstage thing.

In that case, yes, they are insanely expensive.
That's it! I knew it came from somewhere! So to the teenage girl with her "ummmm... no response": nanna nanna boo boo stick your head in boo boo

Yeah, I don't know why I was thinking backstage stuff when obviously the existing VIP tour is the more logical comparison. Sorry for the misleading info at first.

It's not for me but the tour seems very child friendly and great for families. And, it's only $199 for four hours and a snack. Cost wise it is on the low end for VIP tours. No pitchforks or torches are required this time. LOL.
Not at $199/person. I'm not down with $597 for 4hrs/10 rides and a Mickey Bar. Heck, a hard ticketed event like MNSSHP only cost us like $250 total.

All these tours because a few people out there cried about standing in line with their kids. So Disney gave them a solution... Throw money at us and we'll take you and your brats on 10 rides, meet Mickey and you'll get a "treat" along the way. Sadly, these tours are starting to be no better than the Int'l tour groups. They might as well just have their own flag so that when you see them, you can head in the other direction!!!!

I take what I said about Pirates having low wait times. It's at 50 right now (also- Astro Orbiter has a 70 minute wait???)

Curious to know if this VIP tour is more along the lines of a Keys to the Kingdom tour and you get some interesting information about the rides or if it's basically a money grab for those who wish to avoid lines.

Either way, its still just a money grab from people who can afford an additional $200 per person to avoid the lines. It's essentially the same as a front of the line pass at Universal.

Last Friday it was nuts in the Parks, but it was Pro Bowl weekend with Tour groups thrown in, as well as the Epcot Arts Festival.

There was a point last weekend where the Orbiter was 210 minutes.

This was a good time to go before all that crud came in....That's why my plan is to avoid Probowl nonsense the day after in 2018...Only other thing to deal with besides the tour groups is The Cheerleaders as their competitions start around this time as well...

How depressing, As @L.C. Clench notes basically 10 FP for $200 (+Tax), But if you are a family with small kids and have only ONE day for MK I can see the value proposition. (Guide to get through crowds and 10FP+)

It's still a money grab, but the more I think about this, the better is sounds. If you have say 3 or 4 children between say the ages of 4 and 12 and you may be taking what will more than likely be your one and only family vacation to WDW, it guarantees your children will have at least a good if not great day at the MK. If, like my family, you've been to the MK dozens and dozens of time and will eventually go back, I'm not sure it's a great deal.

Backstage access to these attractions and I might consider it. Otherwise, I'll pass. (I know. It's just front of the line ability to ride.)

Yeah, we got down to WDW on the 24th and we got to the MK a little before the 3:00 parade and we were like, Holy People, Batman! And it stayed that way at both the MK and Epcot until Saturday afternoon. The crowds were definitely not a 3, lol. That said, once all the football people went to the NFL stuff, the parks cleared out and it was actually the crowd level you'd expect.

It's a replacement of a VIP tour that already existed. Cheaper price, only one park. That's all. These "ride tours" have been around for quite some time. I'm not sure how long..maybe someone here knows.. but I think it's been around 10 years or so. I'm positive of the last 3-4.

Is it even front of the line access? The VIP tours typically just put you in the FP+ line. Do you think this will be different.

No, the tours are fast pass line. Not front of the line. VIP Premium is front of the line...that's what the rep told me, so take that with a grain of salt.lol

Maybe I was a little loose with the language. It's a tour to just to ride the attractions. As for technically "front of the line", I don't know. Definitely not standby, that's for sure.

Hi 21!! What a surprise to see you here! Just to let you know, we heard you the first 10 times you said it. But for many of us, a $199 upcharge discounted from $299 is still an upcharge. Just FYI, Disney will tend to do these reductions when the original item winds up being a dismal failure. (Ala last years after hours upcharge debacle)
