You guys are the best.
Are any of you going to be at the expo tomorrow? I'll be there sometime before MNSSHP. I can't wait to meet all of you on Saturday.
If you dont trust me, trust Doug. He is a veteran. He isnt the fastest, nor runs the farthest, but he an @JillC LI are the King and Queen of experience. They have been doing this a long time.
Joel is too kind - I am not the king of anything but can serve as an example to prove that really anyone who really wants to do these races and is willing to commit to a training regimen can surprise themselves and finish the race.
Now, if only the kids in your house would think and act as so.I agree that Joel is too kind, but hey, if someone wants to call me the Queen, who am I to dispute it?!
Dude. I have a phobia of vomit. If you puke on me at the MnG, we gonna have problems.I always have raceday nerves...a lot of race mornings I throw up I get so jacked up on adrenaline. I've learned to feed off the adrenaline. Nothing gets me up more than a Disney race, though. There is always something special about running here. I've been on property a few days now, and have seen race prep work being started (stacks of cones, traffic signs, etc), and I'be been ready to go on adrenaline since I saw it. Everyone will finish, and we will all have our unique stories to tell from the race. I'll be at the expo tomorrow afternoon, and the kids races Saturday morning. So for me, it all begins tomorrow!
naw...ill be good once I get to the site. It only really hits me on morning races for whatever reason, anyway.Dude. I have a phobia of vomit. If you puke on me at the MnG, we gonna have problems.
See you then. Cant wait to meet everyone.Yay! So excited! It's going to be a great weekend! Not going to the expo until Saturday, probably after grabbing an early lunch at Food and Wine Festival (usually I wouldn't be adventurous with food before a race but... oh well.. pretzel bread never hurt anyone). Heading to the Halloween Party tonight!
See you all Saturday!
LOL. Ok, I feel better. I was going to put you on Alert Status 1. We go a "spewer".naw...ill be good once I get to the site. It only really hits me on morning races for whatever reason, anyway.
When I ran my first half marathon (13.1 miles), the farthest I had ever run up to that point was 8 miles. When I ran my first marathon (26.2 miles), the farthest I had ever run up to that point was 18 miles.
Your Disney running forums friends are correct. Relax, tell yourself you WILL finish the race, never give up and collect your medal!

Yes, check back a few pages. I posted a pdf file that shows the MnG location and time. Or, you can go under my profile and look through my posts. Should be within that last 10 pages. Also, is there a meeting point anywhere and at a specific time? I am sure the Corrals are a cluster, but I am in Corral C and staying and bussing over from POR. I'm doing this solo so I'd love to hop around in anticipation/nerves with some of my fellow WDW Magicer's!
I wish you would have told the woman in front of me at the W&D. Straight powerade. It was nasty." theres no puking in disney racing" ( tom hanks voice) .. - lol , hey joel , i owuld want to see pics of this one .. lol.. have fun you guys!...
Looking forward to see them!RACE DAY! We will post pics asap from the MnG at DHS. Word! I have a friend, @MKCP 1985 that is going to help.
