The first year of the Princess Half marathon, there were 10,000 runners. This year, I believe, there were 20,000 runners for the Princess Half. When I called a few weeks ago and asked this question, I received a vague "We don't know, we monitor it" answer.

I like the idea of some other family members who don't do distance running signing up for the 5K. Plenty of fun for everyone who wants to come down!
Sam is coming down. When I asked if she wanted to do the after party, she said she will hang in the room and get some rest for the first time in 4.5 years (the age of our oldest child)

No participation from my family. What about yours?

Unknown at present; hence the attractiveness of the 5K. :)

Well I didn't think I would get to run but do to some generosity I will be running! Now to start the training.

Any advice for someone with bad knees? I use to play soccer and I have a brace but I hate home it always leaves really bad marks on my legs. Any bands or braces you guys prefer?

Ladies and Gentlemen, we have SOLD OUT.

Glad I got my registration in. This one will be fun. The way the registration percentages were rising all week, no surprise it has filled up.

I do hope they allowed for a good number of entrants. I'd hate to finish in dead last place.

I can assure you that I will be dead last  This is my first major run in years. I am doing a 5K before to kick back into things but the 10 mile kinda scares me.

Once they post the official course, which I assume the start will be in the parking lot leaving the on E Buena or Studios drive, we will get a good meeting location for all of us to get together, take a group photo and meet and greet.

We will not make the mistake Doug and I did 2 years ago. Assuming we would find each other in a field larger than a football field was silly.

Glad you made it in.:) Don't be affraid to run/walk during the race. That is my plan. I want to take in the atmosphere and character photo ops, not kill myself out there trying to get a PR.

I think Doug and I tried to be specific, but once we were there, it was so vast. I think we said, "Meet in the South part of the collection field where everyone will be stretching, relaxing before the corral call."

it was 50-75 yards wide. and a few thousand runners.

Yeah, it turned out that a number of us went to the designated spot at or near the designated time but when we didn't see one another right away gave up. That's why having some sign will be helpful.

I posted a race report and it turned out someone in the forums was within 5 people behind me at one point while we were getting pre-race photos taken with characters.
