The Town Center construction

Looks like the Apple Store (if that's what this will be) has started construction. Given how close it is to the current guest areas, i would say they could open before a lot of the other stores if they wanted to.

Just an educated guess, here, but what are the chances that building is the rumored Coca Cola store? The color combination, plus the tower at the corner possibly shaping up as a bottle/can?

Whatever that building is, it wasn't in the original model. It's also interesting that the wall are being built in a different way then the other structures. Almost looks like it['s being built with Insulated Concrete Forms.

Well, if you look closely at the concept art, there's actually a brick and mortar building inside the glass. Or at least something that looks like that. I would assume that enclosing a building in an outer layer of glass might require a more insulated interior...

They are ICF. Someone in one of the Disney Springs threads (it could've been this one, but I couldn't find it through a search) posted a close-up photo of the forms and they say "Fox Blocks" on them. EDIT: My memory was jogged by someone on here (that since has deleted the post) that the close up of the Fox Block was posted on Save PI first. Here's a link to the image I was referring to: http://goo.gl/BEXSvF

I did a quick Google search of "Fox Blocks Disney" and discovered Turning Leaf Construction is building this "3-story" building.

Turning Leaf is quite active on Facebook with construction photos...

Wow that was informative. I wish every disney project had this much info available on it.

Photo update of various Disney Springs construction sites, as of Wednesday, Oct 21.

First, a construction wall appeared earlier this week around the last empty storefront at The Landing, next to Sound Lion.

Landscaping is being completed on the corner of the building between Cookes of Dublin and Erin McKenna's Bakery. The area is currently behind a construction fence.

Progress on the "white" building between the Orange parking garage and Planet Hollywood. Note the tall concrete block wall to the left and rear of this building, which does not appear to be attached to the building. Another photo below shows the rear of this building from the parking garage.

Overview of the construction as seen from the Orange parking garage, with the Lime parking garage under construction in the background, and new Disney bus transportation area to the right.

A view from Morimoto Asia looking across the Disney Springs river.

The Disney Springs river as seen from Morimoto Asia's second floor patio area. Note the faux tree stumps along the river banks, on both the near and far shores. On the far shore, to the left of the tree stump, is a faux tree branch that has fallen into the water. On the left side of the photo, a pier extends into the water.

In another area of the Disney Springs river, another faux tree branch can be seen across the rocks in the river bed. A pier extends into the water from the right side of the photo.

In the Marketplace area, an update on the pedestrian elevated walkway at the intersection of Hotel Plaza Boulevard and Buena Vista Drive.

I think it's become obvious that Disney built those retail tenancies speculatively - either from the sheer amount of time it's taken to get tenants to move into completed spaces, or the fact to accommodate the Gelato store they went back and partitioned/demolished existing construction.

To be honest that idea really troubles me - they are building a LOT of square footage with no idea who is going to lease it. I'd hate to see the rest of Disney Springs be a menagerie of lazy home grown concepts concocted to fill spaces they just can't lease.

As a local? I'd like to see a nice large format Barnes and Noble to replace the store we lost in Winter Garden. Somewhere to go and hang out. Since the idea seems to be to shamelessly copy Caruso's Grove and Americana concepts from SoCal it'd be a good fit.
