The Town Center construction

Please explain clearly what make this any different from other life style centers, other then that it's a little bigger. There is nothing that I have seen so far that is really new that other planners would need to learn from.

Disney style with a dash of pixie dust.

Thats a lot of meaningless fluff. Disney learned from The Grove and Americana. They hired others with experience in lifestyle centers.
Which isn't necessarily a put-down on Disney, it just means it's nothing ground breaking. When finished, it will certainly be amongst the top lifestyle-centers in America and I think with some of the restaurants there demands some of your time now.

But let's not pretend Disney came up with this whole lifestyle-center concept.

No but they have evolved the concept from the LBV Shopping District which was also cutting edge at the time.

Screamscape rumor aggregator:
(4/28/15) According to the latest rumor sent in to Screamscape, Bongos may be closing at Downtown Disney in the near future. If the rumor holds true, the source claims that Splipsville may have bought the lease out and plans to open some kind of new Mexican food restaurant on the site instead. Elsewhere in Downtown Disney I'm told that the Hoipoloi store isn't renewing their lease and is expected to close down by the end of May.

Not sure about this one. I think a Cuban place and Mexican/Tex-Mex place could coexist at DS.

I really hope that they do not replace Bongos, my whole family really likes that place. My daughter absolutely loves it and it is one of her top three favorites in all of WDW! Ugh, I don't want to have to tell her... please let it be open in November.

Here is one of the pictures from Save Pleasure Island. According to documents I have seen from a while back the red arrow is being called "Welcome Center" and the blue arrow is being called "Burger Shop". Obviously things could have changed since then, especially for the Burger Shop.

Shake Shack????? They're on that logo list of the supposed tenants, right? Like from a year or more ago?

Yes, and there was also something called Disney Burger. I may be coincidance, but the Disney Burger logo looks a lot like the logo for Bobby's Burger Palace, Bobby Flay's chain.

I love me some Shake Shack. Combined with Earl's, this is going to be very bad for any type of healthy eating for me. Oh yeah, not to mention The Boathouse and Sprinkles. LOL!

I am not familiar with Shake Shack, but I see there is one in Philly, I will have to check it out.

I guess you hadn't seen the concept art for this section until now. They rest of us has known about this for quite some time.

I'd be interested in any concept art that shows 3 or 4 story buildings because that is what appears in the photos. Clearly there is a lot that we have not seen in concept art yet. And I follow this closer than most. I am amazed everytime by the scope of this project.
