So with our first day under our belts, we all fell asleep early that night! We were up at the butt crack of dawn the nex day! I am not a morning person and neither is Megan. We had an 8 o clock reso at Kona Cafe for breakfast. This was our first time eating here, however Ohana is a must do for us. From all the positive reviews on here, that is what made us choose this ADR and boy was everyone right! We all had a delicious breakfast!
I had the Samoa and it was so tasty! It was very filling so I couldn't finish the whole thing, but I would definitely recommend it to anyone! Megan had the Tonga Toast (sorry no pic, I'm terrible at remembering to take food photos
) and the boys shared Mickey pancakes. I was so excited that they had the same juice as Ohana does, god is that stuff not the best juice ever! I really wish they sold it!
The Polynesian is the one resort that Megan and I wish we could stay at! We love the resort grounds, the restaurants, the gift shops, everything! If I ever have a lot of money to actually splurge on a vacation, we would definitely stay there!
Now I said yesterday that Megan's feet were killing her, and now she had gotten bad blisters on the bottoms of both feet! (Gross) do while we were at the gift shop we found some some blister stuff for her to use. Me and the boys walked around the resort a bit while she mended her feet.
The boys loved going around to all the different flowers and smelling them! These flowers were my favorite!
So after Megan was finished, we went back upstairs and took the monorail to the TTC and switched to the Epcot monorail for our park of choice that day. I love going to Epcot this way! I was very excited to go on Test Track and for Landon to go on for the first time, the new version of course! So we arrived and got right into the park again no problems with our magic bands! It was nice and sunny out, but boy was it windy! The wind was crazy this day! There were weather alerts all day for very strong wind.
We had FP+ for Test Track first. There were 2 rides this trip I wanted Landon to experience. Test Track and Dinosaur! I told him if he ride these 2 rides, he would be able to get his xbox360 Lego Marvel game he wanted that had just came out! Am I a terrible parent for bribing my child? Anyways, we went to the fast pass line and grabbed a ride swap pass. Landon wanted to ride with Megan first, so off those 2 went and me and Declan went walking around the area a bit, I stopped for a quick smoke, and we headed to the ride exit gift shop. But not before getting a glimpse of this!
RIP
This used to be one of my favorite pavilions when I was a kid!
So once we were back in the gift shop we waited, and waited and waited some more. For some reason Megan wanted me to hold onto her phone (I guess she didn't want it to fly out? Idk...) so I couldn't call her to see where she was. I got paranoid that I might have taken too long to smoke my cig and take some pictures, so we walked back outside quickly to see if Landon's stroller was still there, it was. I figured the ride must have broke down or something so back to the gift shop we went. Declan and I even waited at the bench right at the ride exit near the photo area and nothing! A total of 40 minutes and they emerged!
"What the hell took so long?" I asked.
"I don't know they have you merge so early in line now it's rediculous " Megan said.
"Ya that line was bogus!" Landon said as he started to laugh about using the word bogus.
"Can you tell the story of the family that was so bogus on small world yesterday?" He added.
Seriously?!?
Anyways we left Test Track and had a little time to spare until our next FP+, so we went to ride Spaceship Earth! Landon and Declan love this ride, as do Megan and I! The wind was really bad under the golf ball but 15 minutes later we were on!
After we were off the ride, we headed over to The Land. Our Soarin FP+ was up. We headed right downstairs and grabbed a ride swap pass. This would be all of our very first rides ever on this thing! Of course Landon had to ride with Megan first, so off they went and me and Declan went to watch Circle of Life!
Declan loves to watch Disney movies of all kinds! Landon, not so much...idk why, but he is very selective about the movies he watches? Declan had liked every Disney movie he has ever watched, with Lion King being in his top fav Disney movies. (On a side note, for some reason my boys love to watch Cinderella 3
! Don't ask me why, but they really like it and we tried hard to meet Cinderella this trip but mission failed)
Megan texted me that they just got off the ride as our movie was just about to end. We meet them back downstairs, and I asked how they liked it?
"I liked it, but it made me a little motion sickness." Megan said.
"Ya dad, I don't want to go on it again." Was Landon's response.
"I didn't like being up so high!" He added. Understandable. I was just excited that he was trying new things
So we decided to save my ride swap pass for later. We had dinner reservations later that night at Garden Grill, so I figured I could go on either before or after that.
We then hopped in line for Living with the Land. This is another ride we all just love. I don't know why, but we just do. I would love to be able to go on the "seed tour" when the boys get a little older!
We kept our stroller parked and walked over to ride Nemo, another of Declan's favorites! We then toured the pavillion looking at the fish and playing around.
We grabbed out strollers and headed over for a snack and rest for a few minutes. We got a pretzel and cheese, popcorn, and some soda. Megan needed to rest her feet a little more. I will interject here and say, " I told you so!" I really wish she would have listened to me and just bought new flip flops like I suggested instead of wearing old ones! So while she rested I took the boys over to meet Figment for the first time!
I will say that in the past few years I thought this ride was actually gone! I didn't realize it was still around until I read about it on the Boards when I first joined. Last year when we were at Epcot my mother in law got sick so I never got to ride and our trip earlier this year, we had to skip Epcot. So we got in line and walked right on!
