Wouldn't a roundabout involve multiple lanes of traffic? (ie a 4 way intersection)

I don't know about everyone else, but this is what I call a roundabout:

I think it used to be a roundabout but it's now more parking...I used to walk back there all the time when I was a contractor and parked back there

We call them roundabouts...

Here in the northeast, they're called rotaries...

And as for this, I'd call it a "vehicle turnaround", or a "turning loop". As Yoda said an actual rotary would require some kind of an intersection with merging/yielding traffic, rather than just a means to turn a bus around.
