There's no escaping it. EC is being characterized. You can minimize the impact of it, though. From the artwork, it looks like the attraction's facade is blended into a typical French urban street. That would blend in perfectly at World Showcase, without it crying out loud "Pixar characters here!"

France, in Epcot, has something the very few do and that is class and culture. Let's not make a cartoon out of it.

I haven't seen it either, but I agree there is no way Robocop does Avatar numbers. Avengers, based on iconic characters that have been around longer the Robocop, a lot of which have recently had their own blockbuster movies, still fell 1.2 Billion short of Avatar internationally.

It won't do Avatar numbers. I already said that was an exaggeration. But it's an action-packed "feel good" movie. The audience applauded when the credits came up. How many times have you seen that happen?

I saw the news from @drew81 about the DAK parade closing. Understand it was planned to end with the Christmas version on January 2nd originally. I believe the only reason it stayed open was because it is the ONLY parade left on property right now and there were concerns about having it end while LoTK hadn't opened in its new locale yet.

Always had a love hate relationship with MJJP if you were in AK when it was running you were trapped in what ever section of park it was running through, I liked it because it had an authentic 'feel' about it with pedal and human powered floats. I will be very sad to see it go

Anonymous twitter identities who seek refuge in the cliques and contrainsts in twitter pretty much is the bottom of the barrel IMO. If you legitimately want to engage in discussions with others.. do so in a format where everyone is on equal ground. Disney used to do everything from a philosophical point of view. Now everything is from a business point of view and I fail to see how that has improved the experience.

Exactly. Plus, a Ratatouille ride doesn't have to be a meet-n-greet. That's just using an IP that fits the theme. Synergistic. I actually don't like that word. Anyway, EPCOT needs more rides and not a rebranded ride (ie Maelstrom). Sure, Futureworld could use some work to fill the empty buildings. However, if it was possible, it shouldn't be disregarded. However, Spirit's comment about how DHS is on hold can probably be taken to mean that anything new, except for Avatar, is also on hold. Hopefully, I'm not inferring too much.

Exactly. As I said, the attraction would be "hidden" in the back-allies, so it wouldn't disturb the character of the area one iota.

The Millenium pavilion convention space that was supposed to be temporary does disturb the character of the area, however....

Will SDL open with MyMagic +++ preloaded? Makes sense. They have the opportunity to build it into the park during initial construction, maximizing what they spent in Florida, and lowering the cost of installing it there (versus installing it as an upgrade later).

Today, exploiting maximum earnings potential is the mantra billion-dollar corporations are charged with. I don't agree that this is how company's should do business, but, if you are the CEO, you have to do what your big shareholders have charged you to do.
