The Spirited Sixth Sense ...

Fortunately, he doesn't have to have seen it. It's fairly easy to find out how well a movie is tracking.
First, it's not out yet. So, you can't track a movie, unless it's released first, unless you are a psychic.

Second, I came to the theater not thinking anything special about the movie, but I was willing to give it a chance. I was pleasantly surprised, as it exceeded all expectations. It will definitely be a blockbuster. Once you see it, you will know why.

You actually can track a movie prior to it's release. In fact it's done constantly. Maybe they use psychics though, I don't know for sure. Here's a good recent article highlighting it.

That's weak. It was weak when Chris Kluwe said it and its weak when you say it. To think that it won't be a distraction at all is naive. I'm not saying he won't face prejudice from teams or teammates, just look for quotes that have popped up from anonymous gm's and scouts across the league already, but the onslaught of media, sports or otherwise is going to be tremendous.

A few years ago I couldn't get to my kids at summer camp to pick them up because the area was filled with cops, news vans, helicopters flying overhead. As a parent I really started to worry. What was it? Terrell Owens decided he wanted a new contract so left Eagles training camp and decided to hold court while working out on his front lawn.

Sometimes a distraction is really just a distraction.

Seriously, I have to work with a bunch of straight people all the time and they aren't a distraction to me! Some times they're highly annoying and have criminal taste, but they aren't a distraction, lol. Geesh, its time for these people to put on their big boy pants, act like adults and join the real world. If they can't, they shouldn't be allowed to play, plain and simple. It's 2014, wake up! Now, let me get off this soapbox and back to work.

Even if it makes big money (it won't), the only Avatar movie it will be compared to is of The Last Airbender variety

Have you seen it?

Don't need to. It's being released in February. Silence of the Lambs not withstanding, studios don't release blockbusters in Feb. Also, the buzz has been toxic for about a year now which is why the studio is dumping it in a dead spot on their schedule. Saying Robocop won't be in the top 5 of the year is one of the surest bets you can make. It won't be in the top 10.

I think my statement was somewhat of an exaggeration. It's going to do very well.

In the Prometheus variety or better.
Prometheus made about $125mil at the US box office. I could maybe see Robocop doing that.
But, Prometheus made double that overseas, which I doubt that will happen with Robocop.

So far, it has been upset by the Peabody & Mr. Sherman movie in the UK.

That doesn't bode well. Not to mention a 55% approval rating on RT.com.

It was a solid action-packed production. Great effects. Great directing. Great script. Far better than the original and different. And it has Samuel L. Jackson, adding an edge of comedy only Jackson can deliver.

Oh also, the Robocop remake apparently has a budget of $130 million. So $125 in the US will qualify it as a disappointment if not an outright flop.

Who thought it was a good idea to spend north of $100 million on a remake of Robocop?!?

I was skimming the posts, and trip reports on another site. Some of these posters are guests that have to save up for a few years for their vacation at WDW. Quite a lot of them were agreeing with the OP that they have no plans to ever go back to WDW after the dismal experiences they had directly related to FP+. There are very few comments having a positive opinion of the new system within some of the threads, and trip reports.
That's simply because anyone with an IQ above 35 knows better then to dare say anything positive about Disney on this any Disney thread no matter where it is. Damn pixie dust overdosed rubes!
