In response to the question about the old park ticket (I deleted the post for obvious reasons) I think you can use an old ticket to get into a park listed on the ticket. That is, you can't use an old, old ticket that only lists the MK to get into AK. But I could be wrong, and I'm sure someone else will correct me.

Can someone please tell me if this old ticket is still good? It says it's a park-hopper, but there were just three parks then. Will it get me into all four parks, if it's still good?

I have used an early 1990s ticket to park hop at the Disneyland Resort because it could have also been used to park hop at Walt Disney World.

Old ticket media is good for the parks open at the time of purchase. For an additional charge you can upgrade the ticket to include parks added after the ticket was purchased.

I had tickets that were only from the 80s that got me into all four parks. They just give you a park hopper ticket - they have no way of differentiating the parks.

I think we should close all the other threads on this board and just do everything in this one. ;)
For the five millionth time... tell me what the topic of this thread has ever been and I will surely head right back to it. Unless he's drinking heavily and has extended his quest for everything to be free, "Spirit takes the fifth" is not a workable topic. Besides having all these posts on his thread will only feed his ego a little more, so he will be happy, but, will fake (faux) disapproval.

It's quite simple, this thread is about:

Spirit’s news, thoughts and observations about Disney, Marvel and gambling, influence of cigarette advertising on teen smoking, international air travel, movies, World of Color, Star Wars at DHS, privacy and Magic Bands, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., counterfeit networking equipment, Shanghai Disneyland, the housing market, minimum wage, working in the IT Industry, value of FP+, supermarket chains, podcasts, animals in captivity, new additions to Universal, The popularity of Star Wars, churros, Star Wars sequels, maglev, Aulani, the weather and questions about whether old tickets are still usable.

I don't understand why you have such a hard time understanding this. ;)

Yes they did. Date stamp tickets were prior to DAK. If you came to the turnstile with a date stamp ticket you are required to go to the guest relations window to get it upgraded or switched out for an ATS ticket. They give you a new ATS ticket equivalent to what the date stamp ticket included. DAK was not built during the date stamp era. You then have the option to pay an upgrade charge to include DAK.

I mean that is how we were all trained to do it at City Hall. lol

Things may have changed with the introduction of MyMagic but there was an upcharge for quite a while. I have not heard that they no longer care and let people get in without paying upcharge.

Also, the way you could easily visually see without scanning the ATS ticket was if it had a printed "K" on it. If it had/has the "K" it includes DAK. No "K"...no DAK.

I can only relate my experience cashing out both date stamp and comp tickets... they gave me standard MYW tickets, no restrictions, and no fee. Done at the ticket windows and at guest relations in DTD.

One thing Disney is good for is.. sticking to the promise about non-expiring tickets. What they won't do is combine old tickets or give you cash value for upgrades.

Oh. Well, where do we go to read about Mommy bloggers and whores?

It's kinda interesting to see the posts, and threads on the various pixiedustaddicts.com type sites. They are all coming out of their haze and sobering up. Meaning they are realizing that there is nothing new coming to FLA in a long time, except a tame mine train attraction, and Magic Bands...quite interesting to read their posts, and thoughts. They're waking up.
