What is the most overrated attraction at a Disney park?
Things can be overrated while still being amazing! Overrated just means it isn't as good as a lot of people make it out to be

For instance, the PeopleMover. I adore it, it's fantastic, it adds great kinetic energy to the land. It isn't the best ride ever and people go way too crazy for it. Especially now when most showscenes are either covered up (you can hardly see into Space Mountain at all like you used to) or very dated/static. Not too mention how jerky and janky the motion is.

Great ride, adds to the land. Not deserving of the over the top praise it gets in Disney circles. especially in its current state.

Extinct: Horizons, I love the concept and there was a lot of clear effort and love put into it but it’s not the best dark ride both in epcot history or dark ride history. Even during the time period there were better ones.

Also Great Movie Ride which is just ehhh for me. I’m not really sure why though, since I do like the Universal Tram Tour which is kinda the same thing. Maybe this is one that needed more love over time that it never got. But like horizons not the best dark ride ever, though I was a little more unhappy to see it go than I was when doing my very first epcot research and finding out Horizons was gone.

Current: I am usually pleased with most of the current e tickets but Shanghai’s pirates isn’t nearly as memorable as the original. Like horizons though there is a lot of clear effort put into it and I am sure a few of those special effects were put into good use since then.

Also not overrated but was surprised to see people upset by the removal of Malestrom and Ellen’s Energy Adventure, both were super outdated by closure especially Energy. While I can understand Malestrom a little I will always be surprised by people missing Energy.

I’m pretty sure Ellen would’ve been removed recently even without the inclusion of Guardians of the Galaxy...

Here I am, President of the Maelstrom Apologists Society.

Maelstrom is like the b-movie of rides. The script is terrible, there’s not much substance, but it’s stupid how much fun you’re going to have during it. Maelstrom was genuinely one of my favorite attractions at EPCOT. I got my friends in high school, who have never ridden the ride, to regularly quote Odin. All in all, bad ride, amazing experience, the only reason it was “popular” was because of its trash capacity.

I also sometimes identify as the Treasurer of the Ellen’s Energy Adventure Apologists Society, but that’s mainly because I like the ride system.

There was that outdoor waterfall feature where you could see the boats from Malestrom pass by. It was always a neat little thing to watch, and I'm confused on why they bothered to cover up the hole when it was converted to Frozen.
