The scene replacing Trader Sam has been revealed!

Looks cute, seems to be six animatronics with five monkeys and the one elephant. I wonder if the camera there will be a real photo if so that'll be a pretty bad photo to buy for your vacation

Which would mean the chimpanzees are replacing the head hunters! Here's the scene likely to replace the headhunters dancing:

We had seen this concept art before, but now we have this addition likely replacing where we get ambushed:

I for one think these chimpanzees look really cute with with all the bugs, especially the one holding the butterfly net

I’m really excited for all of these changes. The Trader San gift shop makes sense and allows the character to stay around (and not have to retheme the bars) without having the insensitive aspects.

I do wish they had done a parks exclusive Trader Sam Funko Pop before retiring his look though. I collect the park characters and that’s one I would’ve loved to have haha

All these changes look absolutely fantastic!

And I think that with how strong these are it will put a lot of skeptical minds at ease for future "inclusive" changes after the more mixed reception to the redhead scene in Pirates. Although, let's face it, convincing Disney fans that change can be good isn't always easy in general lol

I'm just glad these scenes look so incredible! I was worried they'd just drop Dwayne Johnson in a few places and call it a day haha

This is one of those updates they should've done a long time ago. I'll miss Trader Same the animatronic, but I'm excited for this change!

(I also got full videos of the original and holiday original before it changed so I'm happy. )

It may just be me but the inside of the hut seems to have space for an animatronic, and the Jungle Cruise movie does have a Trader Sam. If it does well perhaps they have plans to throw him in there, or perhaps the Rock and Emily Blunt can reside within that hut.

Yeah honestly I’m totally cool with this change! Looks like a cute scene and still feels very much in place for Jungle Cruise.

I love her character! The new auction scene seems a bit confused and not as well written imo. But the character of Red is fantastic! I'm really hoping the rumors of Karen Gillan playing her in a movie turn out to be true!

I love her character! The new auction scene seems a bit confused and not as well written imo. But the character of Red is fantastic! I'm really hoping the rumors of Karen Gillan playing her in a movie turn out to be true!

I prefer the staging of the new scene at DLP, with the lady near the auctioneer wearing jewels and showing them off and I think Redd works better where she's placed in the scene as a bodyguard for the loot rather than a rival auctioneer.

Can't speak French so I can't speak to how the actual script compares.

Agreed. I think they tried to keep the integrity of the jokes from the old version, but it just doesn't work and right now the scene feels like an empty hole in the ride. Redd is really nice in that form and I like it, but I think the scene needs some more laughter imo. Besides that the theming is spot-on!

That's a big reason why I with they just redid the scene entirely with Red instead of trying to have it both ways with keeping it an auction scene with similar lines but also cutting out the original joke the scene was built around and then plopping Red in there.

Maybe she could be outsmarting guards from the town and fighting them off? They could be chasing after the wanted pirate captain and yelling "we wants the redhead" but now instead of human trafficking jokes it is about a brief exciting hunt for a notorious rogue.

That's a big reason why I with they just redid the scene entirely with Red instead of trying to have it both ways with keeping it an auction scene with similar lines but also cutting out the original joke the scene was built around and then plopping Red in there.
