:: WowFactor's Team Power Review - Stanza 2 ::
Spooky, fantastic and bold!
Another energetic round from team POWER. It was nice to see you guys during the brainstorming well conducted by MickeyWaffleCo.
Through a website (curious to know if this format will continue to be the best for the other Stanzas) the team presented us with two completely different lands with great potential for fun. I thought that this time the organization of the ideas got a little better because we see the menu with the two lands highlighted and within each one, their subdivisions and their contents.
I believe that the HUB format was really a good choice for Halloween Town because it provides a great sense of immersion. I liked the amount of details and I loved the Halloween Town Band (well done!). Despite having a great attraction for the spooky mood, I became more interested in the world of Narnia, something really new - and giant - to be explored ... I only question whether these IPs have so much appeal to deserve large and exclusive lands just for them...
The attractions of this round, despite being very creative, left a little to be desired, I think they needed to be more polished. I also believe that the lack of standardization at the time of presentation makes it difficult to understand what is being proposed. Have you guys thought about making a check list for all attractions? 1) What is the plot/history; 2) What system is used?; 3) What will the audience be?; 4) What will the queue look like?; 5) Will the Cast Members have a exclusive uniform? It could even be in topics.
In entertainment I had a big surprise with the proposal of the "Battle of Beruna Nighttime Spectacular", I found the idea of having two nightimes at the price of one extremely daring ... But, and here we have a big but, IMHO doesn't work. Don't get me wrong, I think it's technically feasible but the level of excitement is much lower, it's like being on “Boardwalk" watching Epcot's fireworks, it's beautiful but there is that desire to be there among the people, close to the action…. Another point that we must not forget is that the park has another expensive show, Fantasmic, remember it? Would the investment (fireworks, lights, actors payroll) in TWO more shows be really approved by the board?!
About the products to trade, I liked to see that the group searched several items that already exist to group in thematic stores of Narnia. HT fell short, I missed for instance, the exploration of Zero, the ghost dog. Maybe a store focused on his articles ... even for pets.
I can tell that POWER brought some bigs surprises for just one Stanza, I am looking forward to seeing what this group will bring us forward.
