WHO IS YOUR FAVORITE MARVEL VILLAIN?
Since the Avengers 4 trailer came out, this feels like a fitting question ;)

While Thanos is obviously the most epic of any of the villains to me (and most people?), my close second would be Vulture. He was always just doing what he had to in order to support his family, and he was never evil. Also Michael Keaton is awesome as fudge.

I am going way back here but I LOVED Doctor Octopus and the Green Goblin from the Tobey Maguire Spider-Man’s.

I don’t know how much they hold up now as it’s been a while since I’ve seen those movies but they are easily the choice!

I think that was perfect....revealed almost nothing but the title and restored faith that it's an Infinity War continuation...and not any of the wacky fan theories.

Hype train is in the station!

Agreed. Considering this is the culmination of 10 years, umpteen movies and start of next generation of films, I don't want to see much more beyond this.

Are we limiting ourselves to MCU or even just movies. ‘Cause for Marvel Comics overall I’d go with Magneto. He has among the most nuanced and textured motivations of ANY villain. Basically he wants the same thing as Professor X but his methods are more sinister, but justifiably so given his oppressed background. And while I’m not super keen on the Fox X-Men films overall, McKellen and Fassbender both bring awesomeness to their Magneto portrayals.

I completely agree with this, though in some films (namely XMen: The Last Stand), I felt that Magneto was the weakest part of the movie. Then again, we are talking holistically with a focus on the comics - Magneto is awesome!

Wow! That is awesome!

Also, I started a new end of semester tradition of drinking all my remaining booze the night before the night before I head home. I just (like 5 minutes ago and hgasnt hit me much yet) had a beer and roughly 3 or 4 shots of vodka at once and I haven't gotten to the fireball yet. Tonights gonna rock like crazy.

Loki redeemed himself sometime after The Avengers, so he doesn't count. I'd have to say Ego from GOTG2.

If Loki doesn't count for redemption, I'd say Michael Keaton as the Vulture. Cool villain, cool motivation, great twist that had my jaw on the floor in the theatre. Thanos is just insane. Vulture had interesting motivations.
Comics wise: I've always enjoyed the idea of Venom. Someone who just wants to make one certain person miserable for a perceived slight.
