How doesn't it fit? Either way, Disney will probably still put it in because of how successful the movie was.
AK is full of sights of nature and animals, It teaches people the technical side of our nature and shows the beauty of it. AK doesn't need skyscrapers and cars towering the beautiful sights.

This is the first time we’re hearing about, there are no attractions, no dining, no shops, and you’re already worrying.
They said one brand new attraction that will combine Disney storytelling and state-of-the-art technology. It also mentioned merchandise, a restaurant, and of course a M&G for Judy and Nick.

@S.P.E.W I’m not worrying. I think I was among the first to actually propose the idea of Zootopia replacing Planet Watch, I think towards the end of 2016 (or at least, I came to the conclusion on my own and brought up the idea when it wasn’t popular, don’t know if I was first). Then I kinda went back on it because I saw how much people were opposed to it.

Here's my reasonings.
Does it fit with the future? No.
But it does fit with the epcot ideas. You have a city where all animals coexist. It has a message of acceptance. It is educational in a way.
Plus the four ecosystems if disney wants to play it safe.
Why am I slightly agreeing with this now

*runs to watch World of Motion to re-install Epcot purism*

I legitimately thought you were being ironic with that one. Now I don’t know what to think
