Thought I'd share a little side project I'm working on with you guys.

So, having decided that point and click adventure games are rad as heck, I decided I wanted to try and make one! But I figured that making a simple practice game to learn how to use the software before I try a real attempt to make a game would be a smart idea. That got me thinking that I might as well do a fun fan game as my practice game.

Dan Quest will be a short point and click adventure game about Dan's Quest to get Arin to stop pooping so they can record Game Grumps. It was inspired by Dan's love of Sierra style point and click adventure game since his play throughs of those with Ross are what got me into the genre in the first place!

I have a playable proof of concept completed and on Gamejolt! Right now it is just a test room. But you can walk around with a fully animated walk cycle, examine things, talk to a character, solve a very simple point and click adventure puzzle. Basically, all the stuff I had to learn to do. now I just need to actually make a game with the tools I learned how to use.

So, if any of you are Game Grumps fans and have any ideas, let me know! Learning just the bit I have already has been really interesting.

Thanks! Depending on how fast I can do art and if any unforseen stuff comes up, I plan to have a more complete demo in about a week and the full game by thanksgiving. Then, I'll start work on an actual, full size game over the holidays!

I wish I could try it but it doesn't look like it works on Macs...
