Well, today has certainly been an interesting day for us WDW fans. A lot of stuff was announced...

From the Disney Parks Blog:
  • Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway opens on March 4th.
  • Remy's Ratatouille Adventure opens this summer (which we knew already).
  • Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser opens in 2021.
  • The Mickey Shorts Theater (which replaces Star Wars: Path of the Jedi/Monster Sound Show) opens at some point in 2020.
  • Roundup Rodeo BBQ at Toy Story Land will also open at some point in 2020.
  • Space 220 and Regal Eagle Smokehouse will open at some point in the winter.
  • Awesome Planet, Canada Far and Wide and the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along all open on January 17th.
Speaking of which, since the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along recently had an exclusive press preview, Theme Park Insider shared some new information about it. The show, which will run concurrently with the Palais du Cinema's current tenant, Impressions de France, is directed by Don Hahn, the producer of the original film, and narrated by Mrs. Potts herself, Angela Lansbury.

Unlike the Frozen sing-along show at Disney's Hollywood Studios, this sing-along is entirely film-based. Speaking of which, the film places it basis solely on the original animated classic, and you better believe they're taking every advantage that comes with it. Utilizing new hand-drawn animation hand-in-hand with the original animation, this sing-along is essentially gonna be a Lion King 1 1/2-esque take on the film. Apparently, it was LeFou who helped bring Belle and the Beast together, and in this sing-along, we'll follow him through the story and see how he plays a part. Plus, according to the Disney Food Blog, who also got a chance to see this preview, Jesse Corti will once again be lending his voice to the character.

Of the six songs featured in the movie, only five will be featured within this show. We'll get to sing along with four of these: "Belle", "Be Our Guest", "Something There" and of course, "Beauty and the Beast", and according to Theme Park Insider, there's a brief snippet of "The Mob Song", but no sing-along for that. And of course, you can probably surmise by now that "Gaston" will be left by the wayside. Then again, like Impressions de France, this show will run 13 minutes, so you've got to cut corners here and there.

No spoilers pls by the time I got outta finals all the boarding passes were gone at 10 AM 😭

Gotta try again mañana
No finals until next week = staying up all night and leaving at 3:30 in the morning to get in line!

It was actually really awesome, the park opened at about 5:30ish and we were able to walk right on to everything for a while, only slinky had about a 10 minute wait. They were even giving each group their own private elevator on ToT :D

Ok, now maybe today I should study...
