He was at Brookline Booksmith in Fall of 2014 doing a book signing -- I specifically remember this because some of my friends waited for hours in the cold. I did well on the exam though

very useful, it really depends on what you want to use it for.
My mom likes to play music on it, ask it questions, and play games.
I like to set up alarms, check the time, and other practical things on it. I'm sure if I wasn't so lazy I'd use it for recipes too.
Only problem is talking to it, make sure you are clear, not stuttering, and as robotic as possible (don't do rainbow speak).
edit: look up things on google on what you can do with it, there's more on there than the manual it comes with. a lot of those thing are interesting and cool.
